Düsseldorf is the capital city of North Rhine-Westfalia with about 550.000 residents – incl. 110.000 residents from more than 60 countries (about 80.000 from Europe, 10.000 Africa, 16.000 Asia, 3.800 North- and South-America, 200 Australia and Oceania).Düsseldorf is the only „Japantown“ in Germany, an economic and cultural center for Japanese business activities in Europe with more than 450 Japanese companies, own schools, lots of restaurants and supermarkets.

Düsseldorf inside
• Düsseldorf old town was founded in 1284 at the River Rhein - Cologne 1200 years earlier by the Romans
• Our (friendly) rivalry with Cologne:Dusseldorf is in a strong rivalry with its neighbor city Cologne, especially concerning comparisons between the local beers. Cologne is almost twice the size of Düsseldorf in terms of population, and the Cologne Cathedral is known nation-wide. Düsseldorf is an economic powerhouse and capital city of the state of NRW. Free German Online Portals:
In the late 90's the IIK incorporated the internet into its international exchange and education services: Since 1997 it creates webbased teaching materials, publishes e-mail newsletters, designs and hosts websites for international companies or provodes content and WBT-modules for multi-media agencies, etc. Furthermore, it carries out WWW studies as well as internet campaigns for its customers.
