ILCON EDITOR OBJECTS

ButtonA button can be created to behave in several diffferent ways: as a spring-loaded button, a repeat button, a toggle button, an on/off button or an instant button.

ChartsChart objects offer a variety of ways to plot numeric data: line plots, scatter plots, bar charts and pie charts to name a few. Both trending and individual point updates are supported. Any number of y-series are plotted against numeric, time, date or alphanumeric x-values; and each series holds any number of points. Other features include scales that provide easy zooming; "null" points (for gaps); an alternate y-scale; logarithimic scales; and colored alarm regions.

CheckboxA checkbox is a special type of button that indicates if a state is TRUE or FALSE.

ClockClock displays the system date or time in a variety of digital formats.

Color ListA listbox or combobox that contain items of all the colors in the Tilcon palette.

ColorState ObjectAn image is used whose color indicates the state of the object. Condition(s) are evaluated in order to set the state of the object.

ComboboxComboboxes combine a text field and a listbox.

Directory BoxDirectory boxes allow the user to change directories, select a file, or select a different extension from the list.

EditTextEditable text enables you to create forms and add text to a window that allows two-way communication between the end-user and the application.

DrawingToolsDraw tools are easy to use to create the necessary symbol shapes and designs for a real-time application.

Fill MeterThis object indicates a value by means of its fill level.

HTML File DisplayDisplays an HTML page given it's URL. On non-MS systems only local pages can be viewed.

Label TextLabel Text is primarily used for headings in listboxes and other GUI objects.

LCD Text LCD Text is drawn using segments such as the LCD or LED displays of calculators or other "real-world" objects.

ListboxA listbox displays a list of items in a scrollable area.

MenubarMenubars are placed at the top of the window and provide multiple levels of drop-down menu items. The cascaded sub-menus provide command, toggle and radio button behaviour for each of their items.

Message TextMessage text is used to place text in system or bitmap fonts anywhere in the application window. The user cannot select or modify these text fields.

Multi-Line TextAn editable text that can span multiple lines.

Multi-State ObjectA different image is used to differentiate the states. Condition(s) are evaluated in order to set the state of the object.

Needle Meter BodyNeedle meters are formed by placing one or more needles into a needle meter body. An array of body shapes is available, defining the behaviour of the needles.

NeedleNeedles are placed into a meter body to represent a value. The position and rotation of the needle depend on the needle's value and on the type of meter body that contains it.

NumberboxEditable text combined with up/down arrows, this object is very useful for numeric input.

PanelA panel is a container with a title and a border.

Radio ButtonA radio button manages a group of buttons. It allows the selection of one item in a list; each selection clears the previous choice.

Raw ImageThese objects contain vector or raster images.

ScaleNumeric, alphanumeric, date and time stand-alone scales can be used with drawings, animation and other objects.

Scroll AreaA scroll area is a container with a border and scroll bars, allowing the user to access a greater area than can be seen.

Slider The slider provides a visual method for numeric input.

SpectrographSpectrographs display a raster image in an array of cells. However, this data is supplied by directly setting the colors for each cell rather than through the use of an image file.

Table Table Object provides spreadsheet-like control of your data I/O. Each column can contain its own type of object, including editable text, message text, raw images, numberboxes and comboboxes.

Tab Notebook A tab notebook groups objects into related categories, each contained in its own folder. Selecting a tab changes the active folder, allowing many choices in a form while using little real estate.

Toolbar Toolbars attach themselves to any edge of a window - top, bottom, left or right. They provide space for vital information that should be displayed even when the main contents of a window changes.

Tree A tree shows a hierarchical relationship between its items. The user can expand or compress each branch or sub-branch of the tree.
