Overview

• Statewide initiative to offer students the opportunity to earn associate degrees and certificates via the web

• Primary objective is to develop the policies and procedures to help coordinate virtual degrees among the community colleges

• Provide funding and/or grants to stimulate collaborative creation of needed courses among the 48 community colleges

Mission Statement

The mission of the ILCCO project is to expand access to learning opportunities for all residents of Illinois independent of location and/or time.

• Home college pays to the Teaching college:–the state average tuition plus;

–apportionment for the course by category, and;

–a possible fee for special high delivery cost courses/programs.
