Illustrated atlas of what?

In the early days of the 21st century, the artist Giacomo was an avid player of the online MUD Lusternia. As a way to earn in-game credits for his character, Exarius, he created a set of area maps for use on the official game website. In creating these maps, Giacomo pioneered a whole new look for the traditional flow-chart maps of text-based games, combining the bare-bones navigation grid with a colorful graphic backdrop that improves both appearance and clarity.
