A little knowledge that acts is worth infinitely more than much knowledge that is idle

“O you who believe! Why do you say that which you do not do? Most hateful it is with Allâh that you say that which you do not do”[al-Saff :2-3]

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said:

"Seeking Knowledge is obligatory upon every Muslim." (Related by Al-Bayhaqi & Al-Tabarani)

Knowledge is a means of attaining Allah’s pleasure

the source of this knowledge are the Qur'an and Sunnah and the writings of the pious scholars who have adhered closely to the two original sources

The Prophet (pbuh) said:

“When Allah wishes good for a person, He makes him understand the deen.” {Agreed upon}

Must Have – Obligatory

Knowledge that will make me BE MUSLIM

As a Muslim I have 2 obligations …

1. Towards Allah

• Fundamentals of faith• What Allah wants from me• Acts of worship

2. Towards His creation

• Necessary matters in my daily dealings with people
