Step 1.1
Once you have created your
username and password, as an
administrator you will be able to log
in to the program.

Go to the “Settings”
menu and setup your
company details and
the workers and
admins you will want
to have access to the
new procedures.
iLockitOut ™ Pro iLockitOut ™ is a cloud-based iPad program that will allow you to manage your entire Control of Hazardous
Energy program in a unique way. By syncing your procedures in the cloud, your Energy Control procedures
are instantly linked with other users on separate iPads in real time. This feature allows you to manage your
program in a way that was never possible with paper binders and forms.
Now you will be able to:
1. Create custom energy control procedures with multiple steps and predefined lists
2. Grant instant access to completed and approved procedures
3. View lockouts in your facility in real time
4. Print historical activity records
5. Develop your policy and train your staff

Specify the variables
necessary for each
procedure you will
create.

processes you want to
create a procedure
for.

procedures menu
and click “Add New
(+)” on the top right
hand corner to
create a new
procedure.

box, edit the
description and
choose the correct
machine you want
to lockout.

“Add Step” to
add the energy

information and

three images,
which can be
edited, cropped,
formatted, etc.,

employee to get a
better idea on the
location and
position of the
lockout details.

Step 9: Click
“Save” on the
bottom left hand
corner to save
your procedure.
NOTE: You can
share the
procedures
through email,
open it in PDF,
and print them
by clicking
“share” on the
bottom right
hand corner.

Step 3 - iLockitOut ™ Worker Login
Step 1: To
complete an
audit, click on
the “Audits”
menu. Here you
can view all of
the procedures
that require an
audit.
Step 2: Click on
the procedure
you wish to
perform an audit
for. On the
bottom, click the
middle icon titled
“Audit Form” to
begin the audit.
Step 3.1
Once you have created your

an employee you will be able
to log in to the program.

update your user
profile photo and
user details.

the applicable
sections of the
Annual
Lockout/Tagout
Inspection Form.
Step 4: Once
you’ve filled out
the form, make
sure you sign the
form to
acknowledge you
have conducted a
thorough
inspection of the
machine and
then click save.

Go to the
“Procedures”
menu and
choose the
procedure you
want to
lockout.
Step 3.4
Click “Begin
Lockout” in the
first box to
begin the
lockout
process.

Fill out the
missing
information
before
continuing and
hit “save
changes” at
the bottom.

Follow the
main lockout
procedures.
After
completing
each lockout
step, click
“Begin”.

You must
provide your
signature in
the popup box
in order to
acknowledge
you have
completed
each step.
NOTE: You can
enlarge the
pictures of
each step by
clicking on
them. Slide the
picture to the
left to view the
rest (if
applicable).

After each step
has been
completed and
maintenance
has been done,
you are ready
to re-energize
the equipment
by clicking
“Finalize
Lockout”.
Step 3.9
Sign your name
in the popup
box to
acknowledge
you are ready
to put the
equipment
back in
service.

Step 4 - iLockitOut ™ Auditing Procedures
Step 4.1
After a
procedure has
been created,
you can request
to have it
audited by
clicking the
question mark at
the bottom that
reads “Request
Audit”. This will
disable its use
until the audit is
complete.
Step 4.2
To complete an
audit, click on
the “Audits”
menu. Here you
can view all of
the requested
audits for the
procedures.

Click on the
procedure you
wish to perform
an audit for. On
the bottom, click
the middle icon
titled “Audit
Form” to begin
the audit.

Fill out the
applicable
sections of the
Annual
Lockout/Tagout
Inspection Form.

you sign the form
to acknowledge
you have

inspection of the
machine and
then click save.

Click “Approve
for Use” at the
bottom to
finalize the
audit. This will
make the
procedure
available for use.
