This page enables you to access pools and desktops from the

perspective of the users who access the desktops.



Summary Tab for a Selected Group

Entitlements Tab for a Selected Group

Select the Entitlements tab.

Displays more details about each entitlement

Sessions tab lists the active sessions.

In View Administrator, select Users and Groups and click the

name of the user.

Summary tab: displays information unique for this user: groupmemberships, entitlements, assigned desktops, and if linked clone

desktops, the names of the persistent disks.

Select the Sessions tab to display desktops that are active for this

user.

Allows a View administrator to quickly access and manage a usersdesktop if a user reports a problem.



Global Policies

Global policies apply to all desktops in this View deployment.

In View Administrator, select Policies > Global Policies. Global policies can be overridden at the pool or desktop level.

VMware ThinApp providesapplication virtualization by

decoupling an application from theunderlying operating system and itslibraries and framework and bundling

the application into a singleexecutable file called an application

package

To manage ThinApp applications inView Administrator, you must use the

ThinApp Setup Capture wizard tocapture and package your

applications in MSI format and storethe MSI packages in an application

repository.

You can use View Administrator to

distribute and manage applicationspackaged with ThinApp.

Managing ThinApp applications inView Administrator involves capturing

and storing application packages,

adding ThinApp applications to ViewAdministrator, and assigning ThinApp

applications to desktops and pools.

domain that it accessible to both your View Connection Serverhost and View desktops.

2. Configure the file and sharing permissions on the shared folder to

give Read access to the builtin Active Directory group Domain
