How to Mix Music Using Audacity

Open Audacity program.

Open 2 or more mp3 files that you want to mix.

Go to File -> Import -> Audio

Go to the location of your files.

Select your mp3 files.

Your selected file will be shown.

Play your music.

Play one music by clicking the ‘Solo’ button.

The one with the gray color will not be played.

Listen to your music.

Decide which part of the music you want to use.

Remove the part you don’t want to use.

Highlight the part you want to remove.

Go to Edit -> Delete

Use Fade Out.

Fade Out is use to gradually decrease a sound.

Highlight small portion of the music.

Go to Effect -> Fade Out

Only the portion you select was fade out.

Listen to your next music.

Decide again which part you want to use.

Delete the part you don’t need.

Use Time Shift Tool.

Time Shift Tool allows you to change the relative

positioning of tracks.

Select ‘Time Shift Tool’.

Drag the music waves.

Drag in this direction.

Use Fade In in the part where the two music meets.

Fade In is use to gradually increase the sound

Select small portion of waves.

Go to Effect -> Fade In

Use Fade Out at the end of the music.

Listen to your work.

Save your work.

There are two ways to save your work.

First, save it as a project so you can edit it.

Go to File -> Save Project As

Second, save it as an mp3 file.

Go to File -> Export

You already have your mixed music. Enjoy!
