“There will be 12 successors” “The world shall not end until someone from

my progeny, who carries the same name as me, will come and fill the earth with justice”

“The world cannot exist unless an Imam or Hujjah is present

“One who dies without knowing the Imam of their time, dies a death of ignorance

MINOR OCCULTATION

10th and 11th Imams made people familiar of the concept of not having an Imam around at all times

The minor occultation lasted 70 years He had 4 representatives – there is a letter

informing us that the representatives will become scholars and marja’as henceforth

HIS PRESENCE

Imam Al Sadiq has said “They see him but they do not recognise him.” He is hidden from our vision because of our sins, but he is aware of our conditions

He is like the sun behind the clouds, though hidden, still provides warmth and light

Our deeds are taken to him every Friday He attends gatherings, especially Hajj Many incidents of meeting, sighting and

helping have been recorded

SIGNS OF HIS REAPPEARANCE

Cruelty and injustice will be widespread There will be much corruption in the world Forbidden acts will be deemed acceptable His reappearance will be on a Friday

WAITING FOR HIS REAPPEARANCE

Imam says “The best act of my nation is to await the reappearance”

Our actions and behaviour should reflect that we are in waiting for such a personality

We should give up deeds that displease Allah, and do what Allah demands of us

There is no fixed time for his reappearance, and no one can state when he will emerge

CALLING FOR THE IMAM

He answers all the Mumineen and helps them when called

He meets people who call for him with the right intention

He is our Imam, so in our times of need we should call upon him for help and for solutions

There are many recorded events since his occultation when he has helped people, in person

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES IN HIS ABSENCE

Recognition of Imam Mahdi, means to be aware of those levels of perfection and authority that has been granted to Imam-e-Zamana by Allah

Improvement in our thoughts & deeds Reformation of ourselves and the Society Supplication Give sadaqah for his safety We present our difficulties to him for their
