Problem

• The Problem is some immigrants don’t have much of a chance of becoming a citizen

• This should be changed because all people deserve a chance of becoming a citizen

• Even though some take advantage of this most people hope to make better lives by moving here

• We hope immigrants have a better chance of making a living here in the U.S

Proposal

• We propose that the Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act of 2007 be looked at and with certain modifications

• Giving the people that already live here and want to live here have a chance for citizenship

• We believe of tightening the borders so immigrants don’t have to come here illegally

• But we also believe the families already living here should have a chance of becoming a citizen

The Letter

Dear, U.S official

Immigration to the United States

The problem is to change the Immigration Law, because I do agree with the Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act in 2007.

I have done my research about the immigration. I have seen some good things about Immigrants. For instants I can see that “The united states have been energized since the migrants’ were here”, was said by Bill Clinton. Correct me if I am wrong but everyone deserves to live a good life. No matter what race and religion you and I are, we are all equal. I don’t get why most of everyone’s race is thinking they are very different.

Many Americans are whining about their jobs. Just let others get the jobs; there are many people who need jobs. I see a lot of other races asking for a job and the people are saying no. Immigrants aren’t like many Americans. They just want to fit in like everyone else and live the life everyone deserves. Then most immigrants also provide the U.S population with workers and consumers who also pay for their taxes.

The way we are trying to portray this is that all people deserve the right to become the citizen, while we still need to protect our borders. I think you should look at the comprehensive Immigration Reform act in 2007 again. Then maybe the U.S will have better security and safer borders like every country should have. This would benefit everyone not just certain people and I can see this can affect the U.S in a couple of ways like the work force.

Sincerely,

Omar Gutierrez & Rufino Toledo

Who we are sending it to and why

• President Obama• This is a federal issue and needs the presidents

view on this because of how this affects everyone in the U.S

• Representative John Carney• Senator Chris Coons• This can also be a state issue and at least one

senator and representative should know about it because of how this can affect most of the country
