Tower Gardens Funded at Three Schools—$14,300
IMPACT REPORT 2015-2016
Message from the Board President
In 2016, the Foundation for Eden Prairie Schools is celebrating many things! For 10 strong years, the Foundation teacher/staff grant program has funded nearly $770,000 including LEGO Robotics, Maker Stations with 3D printers, tower gardens, a solar telescope, improved equipment for physical education and the arts, and technologi-cal innovations across the district, including $70,000 to 17 different projects this year alone! We are leaders in innovation in the west metro thanks to your donations!
Since 2012, we have been giving college scholarships to graduating seniors. With $43,750 given in 2016 to 18 seniors, we’re the largest scholarship provider at Eden Prairie High School!
Having a small, yet excellent staff, with our Executive Director, Sarah Cheesman, and Fundraising Event Coordinator, Susan Paulus, makes us fiscally strong and increases our impact! We rely upon, and are grateful to, our dedicated volunteers, working throughout the community, running events, serving on the Board of Directors, and giving generously themselves. We also hear daily about the engaged students and enthusiastic teachers who have benefitted from the continued generosity of our individual and corporate donors who make the biggest difference by increasing our endowment!
In volunteering as President, I have witnessed the Foundation successfully complete a full audit of our finances, increase our connectedness with the community and grow our volunteer base, enhance our electronic presence with an exciting new web site, and take steps toward achieving official certification with the Charity Review Council. By all accounting, we are a GREAT investment, fully aimed toward a successful future! Please continue to donate generously. Join us for the optimism and the amazing achievements that it brings!
Best wishes,
Cathy Bockenstedt
