    Army Special Rules:

    Army specialization:

    An Imperial guard army must choose 1 specialization:

    Infantry specialization:

    Infantry units can use the Doctrine upgrades

    Infantry units may add medics to their squad

    Infantry units may add commissars to their squad

    Infantry units may have 2 additional special weapons in the squad

    Infantry units may have 1 additional heavy weapon team in the squad

    - Leman Russ Tanks may not be used with this specialization

    Mechanized specialization:

    Vehicles with the mechanized special rule may be in a squadron from 1-3 pr space

    All infantry units must take a chimera or a LVTP-40 as a dedicated transport even if they got the option

    or not.

    May use the Commander Tank

    May use the Commissar Tank

    If no elite space is used the armys heavy support spaces changes to 0-6

    - Infantry units can now only have 1 special weapon pr squad

    Airborne Specialization:

    May have 0-3 Storm Trooper Squads as troops

    All Infantry units may deep strike

    Units may re-roll the scatter dice when deep striking at +20 pts pr unit

    May have 0-3 Air Striker Squads as troops All infantry units may take a valkyries/vendetta as a dedicated transport

    Close Combat Specialization:

    All units with lasguns may replaces their lasguns with a laspistol and a Close Combat weapon

    Sergeants, commissars, officers and priests can buy special close combat weapon for 5 points cheaper

    All infantry squads have fleet of foot special rule

    Doctrines:

    Light infantry:

    Units may can choose to either have infiltrate or have scout USR

    Units get the move through Cover special rule

    Units with this doctrine may not be mounted in a Chimera (or LVTP-40) May not have any heavy weapons in the squad (except for snipers)

    Jungle fighters:

    Units may take a heavy flamer instead of a heavy weapon team

    Get a 3+ Cover save when in forest or jungle terrain

    Move at full speed in forest or jungle terrain

    Battle hardened:

    +1 Weapon skill (units)

    +1 Weapon skill, +1 Attack (officers, commissars, priests, psyker)

    Sharpshooter:

    A model with this doctrine may re-roll the roll of 1 on to hit when shooting with any weapons except

    snipers and plasma weapons.
