Introduction to TBL learning
Team based learning (TBL) is an effective pedagogy to
develop problem solving and interpersonal development
skills in students.

Conclusion
• LAMs has been successfully implemented in TBL in
Engineering, Science and Business.
• The features in LAMs such as branching allows laboratory
sessions to be conducted in alignment with the lessons
delivered to different groups of students at different periods of
time.
• Initial feedback from students shows that they enjoy TBL
session and peer-to-peer learning is occurring within the context
of LAMS-based TBL.
Acknowledgement
We will like to acknowledge Assoc Prof Tan Joo Seng for the help
in incorporating TBL with LAMs in his Business module and; Lee
Kong Chian School of Medicine staff, especially Gagnon Douglas
Paul, Gary Tham Weng Nung, Loe Wai Lit Alan and Lauren Hwang
for their kind support to enable this transfer of TBL using LAMs to
Renaissance Engineering Programme.
