Demonstration: Using Microsoft Virtual Server 2005 R2 with SP1

Help the students to familiarize with the Virtual Server environment in which they will work to complete the course’s labs.

In this demonstration, you will learn how to:

1. Connect to the Virtual Server Administration Web site.

2. Configure the virtual machine settings by using the Virtual Server Administration Web site.

3. Connect to a virtual machine using the Virtual Machine Remote Control Client.

4. Shut down a virtual machine without saving any changes.

Demonstration: Using MSL Lab Launcher and Virtual Server

The MSL Lab Launcher provides a single console through which all virtual machines in this course can be launched and accessed. All virtual machines will launch at a preconfigured date which allows us to by pass the need for activation.

In this demonstration, you will learn how to:

• Open the Lab Launcher

• Launch virtual machines

• Logon and interact with the virtual machines

• Shut down a virtual machine

• Reset a virtual machine
