What does this mean for us at Eldorado Middle School?
Eldorado Middle School
Weakest areas:
• Teaching and Learning
• Educator Preparation and Development
Re-think Educator Preparation and Development
• In order to bring about change in our students, teachers must feel competent in their skills to teach technology.
• To bring Eldorado Middle School into the 21st Century, we must re-think what we do for professional development.
Steps to take:
• Allow teachers one day per month or one day per six weeks to learn new technologies relevant to their classrooms.
• Set up a NING for our school to discuss issues pertaining to new learning.
• Highlight offerings at ESCXV in San Angelo that will impact teachers’ professional development in technology.
In conclusion…
• In order to take our school into the 21st Century, we have to utilize what we’ve learned from the data on our campus Texas STaR Chart and make adjustments accordingly.
