This format is a knockoff of Yono's guide on installing TCC

Import tja files to taiko 3ds and possibly othergames.

Make sure you extract all your tja's with Japanese locale, if youare not sure about how to do it you can check Yono's great video oninstalling TCC. Watch step 4 "going to the control panel", followthe video, and stop after you reset your pc.How to install TCC 1 Before using the tool, you must convert the tja files encoding to utf-8 You can use KanjiTranslator (requires Japanese locale to work properly) to convert tja's to utf-8 in batch.

To convert a song, simply drag the tja into the converterexecutable.

Adding a new song is not supported with the tool alone. Instead, you will be replacing songs/charts that correspond to the song ID of the replaced files.

These charts can be played via Luma CFW game patching.To do so, you must place the chart files and music files in /luma/titles/0004000000190E00/romfs/_data/fumen/(song name)/solo/ for fumen charts and /luma/titles/0004000000190E00/romfs/_data/sound/song for song files. See images

At the end of a chart file there will be a letter dictating its difficulty, "_m" is oni, "_h" is hard, "_n" is normal, and "_e" is easy.Music files usually have "_3ds" at the end and "_3ds_s" for song preview. But be careful, some of them may have a "_remst" after the song id. I recommend extracting the pre-formatted luma folder to the root of the 3ds card, it should not replace any files (if Windows asks you to replace files select no). It contains all folders that are significant to replacing songs (does not contain any game data).

You may also use the 3ds 3 DLC builder to replace the songs youdon't want and have them installed as DLC.

Missing features, limitations, and known bugs:-Proper score and soul points handling-Branching-Displaying the song title in-game. A song can be recognized insong select using song preview or by recalling which song youreplaced.-Fumen with 300 bars or more will crash. -Fumen with more than 13000 notes may crash.-If the converter fails to parse a song file, try changing the nameof the song file and changing WAVE in the tja to the song file.-Balloons will be shorter than expected if they happen to end at adifferent bar than they started from (fumen engine limitation)

Notes: The chart format (fumen) that is given by this converter is

stated to be compatible with Vita, Switch, and 3ds. The outputbinaries are lz11 compressed and other platforms might havedifferent compressions. The audio files given by the converterare only compatible with 3ds taiko.

Fumen folders that start with "zac" and sound files that startwith "3d3" are primarily found in adventure mode

As with most things, there may be missing information in thisguide or stuff we did not discover

You can mitigate the limitations of the fumen engine by editingthe TJA chart to fix balloons and reduce the number of bars. Inthis example, 15 bars in a MEASURE4/128 were reduced to 1 barin a MEASURE60/128 in order to fix the balloon and reduce thenumber of bars. This of course will kill the barlines:

P.S. if you don't like the custom loading screen animation you maytake it off by deleting the "common" folder found in romfs
