Lessons from Modi Campaign• The 5 lessons we learnt are all proof that Modi is the master of message.

1) Use every form of media -- from Instagram to All India Radio. Different strokes for different folks.

2) Make it simple and memorable. So Swachh Bharat sticks and so does Make In India.

3) Your own imagery is key.

4) Actions speak louder than words. Remember how getting on your knees at the stairs of Parliament worked its magic. And so did the drumming act in Kyoto.

5)Let the grapevine growl when you want to display disapproval. So mantris know they are being watched through whispered stories they need to deny. Meanwhile, you smile and look detached.

Net-A-Porter’s app

• Last year - Net-A-Porter announced the launch of its new Porter print magazine

• To promote the magazine, Net-A-Porter created an iOS app called ‘I Am Porter’ which tapped into the craze for selfies.

• The app allows users to take a photo of themselves or upload an existing favourite photo, add a cover line and PORTER masthead to transform themselves into a cover star.

• Users were then encouraged to share their photo on Twitter or Instagram, and it has proven to be relatively successful

• There were around 2,800 mentions of the #IAMPORTER around the magazine’s launch
