Before Using Your New Razor

◗ This appliance is intended for household useonly as described in this manual.

◗ Before using, check foil for wear or damage. Ifthe foil shows signs of wear or damage, donot use the Razor as injury may occur. Do notuse it until the foil has been replaced.

◗ For wet shaving, you may wish to prepareyour skin with soap or shaving cream beforeshaving.

◗ For dry shaving, be certain that your skin isclean. If you have sensitive skin, you may wishto apply talcum powder before and/or aftershaving.

◗ When shaving your legs, underarms, or bikiniline, it is not necessary to press hard to get aclose shave. Pressing too hard may cause skinirritation, and the Razor will not functionproperly. In addition, do not use deodorant oralcohol-based lotions immediately before orafter shaving.You may, however, want to usetalcum powder.

◗ Clean the Razor regularly, for instructions seechapter 'Cleaning'.

◗ Only the Razor, not the charging base, can besubmerged in water ; however, do notsubmerge the Razor for extended periods oftime.

◗ You may wish to store the Razor with thecharging base connected to the outlet, so thatthe Razor is kept fully charged. However,remember to allow the battery to totallydeplete charge every 4 weeks (see chapterTO CHARGE/RECHARGE).

To Charge/Recharge

◗ Charging and recharging your Razor requires afull 16 hours.

◗ Charge the Razor only with the charging baseand adaptor provided.

◗ Be certain hands and Razor are dry beforeplacing razor in charging base.

◗ Recharge at temperatures between 40ºF and90ºF. Charging at lower or higher temperaturesadversely affects the lifetime of the battery.

1 Be certain the Razor is in the off position.

2 Put the Razor onto the charging base (fig. 1).

3 Plug the charging base into any 120V ACoutlet. Use only the charging base provided.The pilot light on the adaptor goes on toindicate that the battery is being charged (fig. 2).

◗ An adaptor plug and converter may be necessary for the use of the charging baseplug in some foreign countries. Use an attach-ment plug adaptor of the proper configurationfor the power outlet.

Before Using Your New Razor

To Charge/Recharge

◗ Charging and recharging your Razor requires afull 16 hours.

◗ Charge the Razor only with the charging baseand adaptor provided.

◗ Be certain hands and Razor are dry beforeplacing razor in charging base.

◗ Recharge at temperatures between 40ºF and90ºF. Charging at lower or higher temperaturesadversely affects the lifetime of the battery.

1 Be certain the Razor is in the off position.

2 Put the Razor onto the charging base (fig. 1).

3 Plug the charging base into any 120V ACoutlet. Use only the charging base provided.The pilot light on the adaptor goes on toindicate that the battery is being charged (fig. 2).

◗ An adaptor plug and converter may be necessary for the use of the charging baseplug in some foreign countries. Use an attach-ment plug adaptor of the proper configurationfor the power outlet.

4 Charging requires 16 hours.This Razor,model HP6350, is for cordless shaving only.

5 Razor may be continuously charged withcharging base connected to electrical outletfor a maximum of 4 weeks. At the end of 4weeks, you must allow the battery to totallydeplete charge before recharging.

- To deplete charge, shave in usual manner;however, do not recharge Razor betweenshaves. Continue to use Razor until battery istotally depleted.

6 You may then keep Razor continuouslycharging for another 4-week period beforeyou must once again allow Razor to totallydeplete charge.

IMPORTANT:Before connecting Razor to charging base, be cer-tain Razor is turned off .While Razor is charging, therecharge light on adaptor will light with Razor ineither the on or off position, however, your Razorwill only recharge if Razor is turned off.

Shaving

1 Remove protective razor head cap fromrazor.

2 Turn Razor on by pressing button on razorfront.

3 Hold the Razor so that Shaving Foil is in fullcontact with your skin. Shave with smooth,steady strokes against the direction of hairgrowth.

◗ Pressing too hard may cause skin irritation.◗ Practice is best for optimum results.◗ Make sure both trimmers and shaving foil are in

complete contact with skin.

4 Turn the Razor off by pressing button on razor front.

◗ When shaving underarms, do not use deodorantor alcohol-based lotions immediately before orafter shaving.You may, however, want to usetalcum powder.

◗ Shave by moving the razor in the direction ofhair growth. Remove any remaining hairs bymoving the razor in different directions.

◗ You may store your razor in the shower or bathby using the convenient shower hanging hook(fig. 3).

Cleaning

◗ Regular cleaning guarantees better shavingresults.

◗ It is recommended that you replace your shavingfoil once a year.

◗ Always switch Razor off and remove chargingbase plug from outlet before cleaning.

◗ Never remove or replace Shaving Head whilemotor is on.

◗ Do not apply pressure or touch Shaving Headwith hard objects as this may dent or damagefoil or trimmers. If damage occurs, replace foil.

AFTER EACH USE

◗ After each use, Razor should be quickly cleanedby rinsing under running water or dipping andshaking gently in water (fig. 4). DO NOT keepRazor submerged in water for a long period oftime.

ONCE A MONTH - CLEANING SHAVINGHEAD

1 Remove the shaving unit (foil and cutter) bygrasping the two fixed trimmers on eitherside of the foil and gently pulling the shavingunit from the plastic housing. Once theshaving unit is removed, hold the shaving unitonly by the trimmers.The Shaving Foil is verydelicate and should not be handled. If foilbecomes worn or damaged, replace it. Donot apply pressure to shaving foil.

2 Hairs can be removed from shaving unit andhousing by rinsing clean, using a soft brush orby lightly blowing out hairs. Be sure you alsobrush hairs away from under the trimmers.

NOTE: Avoid using brush on Shaving Foil, asthis may cause damage.

◗ Body of Razor and Shaving Head, includingShaving Foil, may also be rinsed under runningwater to remove hairs.

◗ Do not use or clean razor with water hotterthan shower temperature to avoid scalding.

3 Be sure all parts are dry before reassembling.◗ Do not use cloth or towel to dry Shaving Foil or

cutter block; allow to air dry.

4 Replace shaving unit by gently pressing backinto position on Razor. Hold shaving unit bythe fixed trimmers located on either side ofthe foil.NOTE: Use cold or lukewarm water. Never usecleaners such as alcohol, nail polish remover,corrosive detergents or scouring pads.

◗ For best shaving performance, it is suggested tolightly oil Shaving Head twice a year by spreadinga drop of mineral oil over the foil and trimmers.If this does not improve the performance of yourrazor, it may be time to replace the foil.

◗ Never immerse charging base in water or otherliquid.You may clean by wiping with a dampcloth.

◗ This razor has no other user-serviceable parts.Any other service should be performed by anAuthorized Norelco Service Location.

Storing

How To Remove Rechargeable Battery

1 Remove razor from charging base and unplugbase from outlet before dismantling. Let therazor motor run until the battery is completelyempty/depleted.

2 Using a narrow flat-blade screwdriver, pry thefront panel off the Razor and discard (fig. 5).Remove the button and the surrounding soft-touch material.

3 Lift the electronic part and the battery out ofrazor and then separate the battery from therazor (fig. 6).

4 Remove battery. Do not attempt to replacebattery. Insulate battery ends by covering withtape and/or place battery in small plastic bag.

5 Discard your razor. Do not attempt to placethe razor in the charging base and recharge therazor after the battery has been removed.

6 Contact your local town or city officials forbattery disposal information or call:

Put It To The Test & Shaving Tips

Like many new products, your Norelco LadyshaveMoi Razor may take a little getting used to. If you areusing a rechargeable Razor for the first time, or ifyou've been using a different brand, your skin mayneed time to adapt. 7. Unplug the charging base before cleaning.8. When discarding the razor, remove it from

the charging base and make sure the razor is inthe Off position.Then remove the rechargeablebattery. See Battery Removal instructions.

9. Always place razor in base first then plug baseinto outlet. To disconnect, turn razor off thenremove plug from base from outlet.

10. Never store the appliance in direct sunlight orat temperatures above 140ºF.

11. The appliance is water-resistant and can beused in the bathtub or shower. Do notsubmerge the razor in water for an extendedperiod of time.

12. Make sure razor and your hands are drybefore placing razor in charging base.

13. To prevent possible damage to the cord, do notwrap cord around the charging base.

If you areusing a rechargeable Razor for the first time, or ifyou've been using a different brand, your skin mayneed time to adapt. Use it exclusively for 3 weeks, or a bit longerfor sensitive skin. If you alternate shaving orother hair removal methods during thisadjustment period, it may make it moredifficult to adapt to the Norelco shavingsystem.
