Outfit to be re-created:This outfit is made on texture layers (pants, gloves, shirt) and has a prim skirt created using a Trendy Templates skirt rezzer.

Using the rezzer for the skirt means that all the skirt prims were ‘created’ by my avatar and are rezzed under my avatar’s name.

Rez your flexi skirt in Second Life

All prims MUST belong to you (i.e. you must have made them yourself or via a rezzer) – this will NOT work for prim skirts that you have simply attached a prim of your own to!

If you are the original creator of the textures, they can be exported along with the skirt – if not (even if they are full perm), they will NOT be exported.

NB: any sculpt pieces, such as belts, will NOT be exported unless you are the original creator of the sculpt map.

In Firestorm (exporting):Right click on the skirt to access the pie chart:

More >More >

Save As >Backup

Save the file to your computer.

Note: if the textures were created by a different avatar (even if full perm) they will NOT be exported along with the object(s).

NB: Firestorm uses a non-standard format (.oxp) for backups which can only be imported using Firestorm – xml backups whichcan be created using Cool VL Viewer or Singularity are possibly better for longer term backup.

In Firestorm (importing):1. From the Build menu, select:Upload > Import linkset

2. Select your oxp file

3. On the dialog box, tick:Do not attach objectUpload

4. Click the Import button

The flexi skirt will be imported as a linkset (with the default wood texture).

5. Import/add textures

In Singularity (exporting):Right click on the skirt to access the pie chart:

More >More >Export >

XML

Save the file to your computer.

Note: if the textures were created by a different avatar (even if full perm) they will NOT be exported along with the object(s).

NB: Singularity had not been updated since Feb 2015 (as of 18 August 2015) – for this reason I suggest Cool VL Viewer as analternative as it has a very similar feel, but is updated regularly.
