Contents page improvementsAfter getting some feedback from my magazine I made some improvements. For my contents page I made some little changes.Firstly I just spaced out the text on the page so it was easier to read. I made more room by getting rid of one of the articles and compressing the letters together.

Secondly, the other change I madewas deleting the ‘P’ before the page numbers to make it easier to read and because itwasn’t really needed.

Front page improvementsFor my front cover I made quite a few changes. Firstly, I centred one of my secondary images and changed the text ‘December issue’ to ‘December 2014’ to make my magazine look more professional.

Thirdly, I changed my tagline at the bottom of the page to ‘The UK’s NO.1 Charts Magazine’ which made it more clear what the genre of my magazine is.

The fourth change I made was changing the text of the anchorage to the central image. The font before was very boring and didn’t stand out enough, so I decided to change it to a much more exciting font.

The final change I made was simply to straighten up the borders of the page as some were not aligned correctly. This made my magazine look neater.

DPS page improvementsFor my double page spread I had to make many improvements. Firstly, I made the stand first bigger because many magazines include a stand first to catch the reader’s attention. So I increased the font size, put it in italics and put the first sentence in the colour red.

Secondly, I completely re did the layout as the text was on the spine, so if it was printed it would have been hard for the audience to read.

Thirdly, I aligned the text as it was very uneven before, and so my magazine looks more neat and professional, I did this by putting my text into three columns.

Fourthly, I edited my pull quote by changing the font, colour and adding a background to make it more attention grabbing and making the page look more colourful. I also added a second pull quote on the left hand side page to break the text up more and to add more colour onto that side of the page.

Fifthly, I added a background behind the article as I felt like the white background was just to plain.

Sixthly, I added in a footer at the bottom of the page to show it was still part of the Top Of The Charts magazine.

Finally, the last change I made was insert a large dropped capital letter to add more colour to the page and to make my DPS look more professional.
