Die Camping Card Scandinavia (CCS) ist Teil eines skandi-navischen Ermäßigungs- und Reservierungssystems. Die CCS-Karte gilt jeweils für eine Familie, und sie beschleunigt

die Abwicklung der Formalitäten bei der Rezeption von Camping-plätzen und Feriendörfern. Den Inhabern der CCS-Karte werden Ermäßigungen auf die Campinggebühren der Campingplätze und Feriendörfer sowie auf die Preise verschiedener anderer Dienst-leistungen gewährt. Mit einer gültigen CCS-Karte können Sie auf vielen Campingplätzen und in vielen Feriendörfern preisgünstiger übernachten. Die Karte selbst ist kostenlos, aber die dazu gehörige Gültigkeitsmarke kostet 9 Euro pro Jahr. Mit inbegriffen ist eine Un-fallversicherung für die ganze Familie auf den Campingplätzen und in den Feriendörfern, die Mitglieder des Systems sind.

Wie funktioniert die Camping Card Scandinavia?Die Karte wird von den Mitgliedern des Finnischen Campingplatz-verbandes verkauft, von denen es in ganz Finnland rund 150 gibt. Wenn Sie gleich auf dem ersten Campingplatz, den Sie besuchen, die Karte und die dazu gehörige Gültigkeitsmarke kaufen, kommen Sie sofort in den Genuss der Vergünstigungen. Die Karte kostet nur 9 Euro und gilt für das ganze Kalenderjahr. Wenn Sie bemerken, dass auf Ihrer CCS-Karte die Gültigkeitsmarke für das laufende Jahr fehlt, so kaufen Sie diese sofort nach Ihrer Ankunft auf dem Cam-pingplatz bzw. im Feriendorf. Eine gültige CCS-Karte berechtigt Sie zu einem Campinggebühr-Kredit für maximal sieben Übernachtun-gen, das heißt Sie zahlen die Campinggebühr erst bei Ihrer Abreise. Der Kredit gilt nur für die Campinggebühren; die Miete von Cam-ping- und Ferienhütten ist normalerweise direkt nach der Ankunft zu bezahlen. In diesem Magazin finden Sie ein Verzeichnis der Cam-pingplätze und Feriendörfer, die die CCS-Karte verkaufen.

Vorteile der Camping Card ScandinaviaAls Inhaber der Camping Card Scandinavia erhalten Sie Ermäßi-gungen auf Campingplätzen und in Feriendörfern. Die in diesem Magazin aufgeführten Ermäßigungen sind bis Ende 2011 in Kraft, und Sie erhalten Sie nur bei Vorweis einer gültigen CCS-Karte. Die Ermäßigungen sind in dem Verzeichnisteil des Katalogs bei dem jeweiligen Campingplatz/Fe-riendorf vermerkt. Die inbegriffene Versiche-rung ist in Anbetracht des günstigen Preises (9 Euro) und des Umfangs ein beachtenswerter Vorteil. Sie gilt für diejenigen Personen, die als Gäste eines zum Finnischen Campingplatzver-band gehörenden Campingplatzes oder Ferien-dorfes eingeschrieben sind, sowie für ihre Fami-lienmitglieder (ein oder zwei Erwachsene und die Kinder der Familie). Wenn zum Beispiel zwei erwachsene Paare in demselben Wohnwagen/Wohnmobil/Zelt übernachten, benötigen beide Paare eine eigene, gültige Cam-ping Card Scandinavia, damit die Versicherung für alle Personen in Kraft ist.

Die Camping Card Scandinavia gilt schon in 20 europäischen LändernDie Camping Card Scandinavia ist ein skandinavisches System, das sich jedoch schon auf andere europäische Länder ausgeweitet hat. In diesem Jahr wird die CCS-Karte auf den Campingplätzen der folgenden Länder akzeptiert: Belgien, Dänemark, Deutschland, Finn-land, Frankreich, Griechenland, Großbritannien, Niederlande, Irland, Italien, Kroatien, Lettland, Luxemburg, Norwegen, Portugal, Schwe-den, Schweiz, Slowenien, Spanien und Ungarn. Vergessen Sie also nicht, bei der Ankunft auf einem Campingplatz in diesen Ländern Ihre CCS-Karte vorzuweisen.

DO YOU ALREADY HAVE A CAMPING CARD SCANDINAVIA CARD?

Camping Card Scandinavia (CCS) card is a family-specific discount card and reception system for camping sites and holiday villages in the Nordic Countries (Finland, Sweden,

Denmark, Norway), and it speeds up the reception procedure on arrival. CCS card holders benefit from various discounts at camp-ing sites and holiday villages. Many camping sites and holiday villages have special reduced accommodation and camping site prices for holders of valid CCS cards. The card itself costs nothing, but the validity sticker for the card costs €9 per year. A CCS card includes a family-specific accident insurance covering accidents on the camp-sites and holiday villages included in this publication.

How a Camping Card Scandinavia card worksThe cards are sold by Suomen Leirintäalueyhdistys (Finnish Camp-ingsite Association) members and there are approx. 150 of these in the country. When you get a Camping Card Scandinavia card and the validity sticker at the first campsite you visit, you start enjoying the benefits right away. The card costs just €9 and it is valid for one calendar year. If you don’t have a validity sticker for the current year on your CCS card, purchase one immediately on arrival at the next camping site or holiday village. A valid CCS card includes a camping site fee credit for a maximum of seven days, which means that you can pay for your stay at a camping site on leaving. This credit applies only to the camping site stays. Cottage rents usually need to are paid on arrival. This publication lists all camping sites and holiday villages, which sell CCS cards.

Camping Card Scandinavia card benefitsBy presenting a Camping Card Scandinavia card, you are entitled to various benefits and discounts at member camping sites and holiday villages. The benefits mentioned in this publication are valid until the end of 2011 and you get them simply by presenting a valid CCS card. The benefits offered are set out alongside each camping site / holiday village in this publication. With a valid CCS card you get to enjoy benefits also in the other Nordic Countries.

Moreover, a CCS card includes accident insur-ance covering the entire family during your stay at a camping site or a holiday village. This in-surance benefit is a significant one considering its price (€9) and its scope. The insurance is valid on the premises of Suomen Leirintäal-ueyhdistys (Finnish Campingsite Association) members and it covers customers who have checked-in and their family members (one or two adults and their children). For exam-

ple: if two adult couples arrange to stay sharing the same RV or tent, then both couples need to have a valid Camping Card Scandinavia card for this insurance cover to be in effect.

Camping Card Scandinavia card is accepted also in other 20 European countriesWhile the Camping Card Scandinavia card system started off being specific to the Nordic Countries, it has now expanded to cover several other European countries. This year, the CCS card is accepted at camping sites in the following countries: Belgium, Spain, Netherlands, Ireland, United Kingdom, Italy, Greece, Croatia, Latvia, Luxembourg, Norway, Portugal, France, Sweden, Germany, Slovenia, Finland, Switzerland, Denmark, and Hungary. Do remem-ber to present your CCS card on arrival at camping sites in these countries.

Lootholma ist ein erneuertes

von Kustavi. In Lootholma befinden

sich das erstklassige À-la-carte-Res-

vom Zentrum von Kustavi entfernt.

Geboten werden Badestrand, Saunas auf Bestellung, Boots-, Zelt- und Wohn-

2010 und 2011 hergerichtet und werden ständig weiter entwickelt. Im Hafen

stellt ein Automat rund um die Uhr Treibstoff zur Verfügung, auch Schwarz-

und Bilgewasserleerung ist möglich. Im Sommer 2011 wird in der Camping-

gebühr auch die Benutzung der Strandsauna enthalten sein. Nach Turku sind es

von Kustavi 69 km. Von Kustavi aus legen auch gute Fährenverbindungen nach

Åland ab. Lootholma ist vor Åland der letzte Campingplatz am Festland.

Lootholma is a modern tourist centre set amidst the island landscapes of

Kustavi, right by the sea. In Kustavi’s Lootholma, there is an excellent à la

carte restaurant, a marina for guests and a camping site by the sea, only 2 km

from downtown Kustavi. There is also a beach, a bookable sauna and places for

boats, tents and caravans. The marina and the camping site facilities were re-

novated in 2010 and 2011 and the area is being continually developed. An au-

tomatic refuelling tank is available 24h. Septic tank and bilge water emptying

is also available. In summer 2011, the camping charge will include the use of a

beachfront sauna. Kustavi is located 69 km from Turku. There are also good

ferry connections between Kustavi and the Åland Islands. Lootholma is the last

camping site on the mainland before the Åland Islands.

Der Campingplatz Parainen befin-

elektrischer Heizung, Bettzeug (Bettwäsche gegen Zuschlag) und einem Kühlschrank

ausgestattet. In den größeren Hütten befindet sich zusätzlich eine eigene Sauna.

Camping Parainen is located in the charming archipelago town Parainen, on

the sea shore, near the town centre. Thus all the services of the town are

available to you by foot, bicycle, rowing boat or car. The holiday centre is open

from 1 May to 30 September and during other periods by agreement. The recep-

tion is open from 8:00 a.m. to 11 p.m. after which a night-watchman guards the

site. Reservations can be made around the year. The holiday centre has 18 ho-

liday cottages and overnight cabins with different levels of equipment. The cot-

The entirely renovated Poroholma holiday centre, located at the end of

Otanlahti bay by the seashore, offers an excellent camp site next to the

Rauma city centre. The site includes a parking lot equipped with electricity for

120 cars and caravans, and 20 holiday cabins with different levels of equipment.

Guests can stay by the seashore or in a cosy area sheltered by trees. The site

includes two maintenance buildings, one of which was completed for summer

2009. The other was entirely renovated during spring 2009. In the maintenan-

ce building, guests can use clean showers and bathrooms, separate washing-up

and laundry facilities and high-quality barbecue facilities free of charge. In Poro-

holma, guests can also use the beach saunas and beaches at no cost. The sau-

nas were entirely renovated in spring 2009. At the reception, there is a seas-

hore cafeteria with full on-licences, a sunny terrace and a small grocery shop

for food and leisure equipment. The site includes an old wood and lace villa

with a top-notch restaurant offering daily lunch menus and an islander’s buffet.

The Poroholma centre also offers plenty of activities, including a playground for

children, a minigolf course, bicycles and water scooters for rent, a bath barrel,

etc. There is also an outdoor swimming pool and a summer theatre near the

site. Poroholma is located approximately 2 miles from Rauma’s old town which

is accessible by city train from the holiday centre. The site includes the town’s

Kokkola Camping ist ein kleiner,

gemütlicher Campingplatz am

Fußweg entfernt vom Stadtzentrum.

Das Gebiet wurde beachtlich erneu-

ert. Es erhielt ein völlig neues Servi-

cegebäude, der Caravanbereich wur-

de renoviert, die einfacheren Hütten

wurden versetzt und instand gesetzt. Außerdem werden im Gebiet wurden

4 vollkommen ausgestattete Urlaubshäuser fertig gestellt. Die Renovierungen

erlauben ganzjährig zumindest einen Teilbetrieb. Hinzu kommen die vielfälti-

gen Möglichkeiten, die Kokkola zu bieten hat, und der leichte Zugang zum Platz

- es lohnt sich, einmal innezuhalten und die Strandlandschaft in Zentral-Ost-

bottnien zu genießen! Zum Gelände, auf dem 2011 die Häusermesse ausge-

richtet wird, sind es nur 150 m.

Kokkola Camping is a small and cosy camping site. It is located by the sea but

is still within walking distance of the downtown area. The area has been mo-

dernised considerably. The site has a new maintenance building, the caravan site

has been renovated, and the basic cabins have been moved to a new location and

renovated and four fully equipped holiday apartments have been built in the area.

With these renovations the camping site open all year round with limited services.

When combined with the excellent services available in Kokkola and the easy ac-

cess to the area, this is a great opportunity to relax and enjoy the seaside of Cent-

ral Ostrobothnia. The 2011 Finnish Housing Fair is only 150 meters away!

standing setting for a holiday for the

whole family. At the camping site, you

can hire bicycles or pedal cars. You can

play minigolf, tennis, basketball and pé-

tanque in the area. The Yyteri region

has excellent outdoor recreation areas, horse riding stables, a water slide, a sur-

fing centre and an 18-hole golf course. There is plenty to do for young and old ali-

ke. During the summer, the camping site services are provided by the Ulappa res-

taurant (used for events in the winter), summer shop, souvenir shop and the Vik-

sula play area where kids can make friends; the structured Top Kids programme is

available for 3–12 year olds daily from midsummer until the middle of August. For

meetings, gatherings and private functions you can rent sauna facilities (sauna, a

room with a fireplace and a hot pool) throughout the year and there is a fully li-

censed restaurant. There are 100 electric installations for caravans, some of which

have connections for water, drainage and TV. There are 200 places for tents, and

the morning sauna is available free of charge Tuesday to Sunday from 20 June to 7

August. The sauna can also be hired. There are 75 cabins, 30 of which have modern

equipment, fit for winter habitation for 2–6 people and equipped with a sauna or

bieten. Die Auswahl an Hütten ist breit gefächert, und für jeden Gast findet sich die passende Hütte – von der einfachen Campinghütte bis zur komfortabel ausgestatteten Ferienhütte. Größe und Niveau der Hütten variieren je nach Campingplatz. Ihnen allen ist der direk-te Kontakt mit der Natur gemeinsam: Um den Gesang der Vögel und das Rauschen des Windes zu hören oder die vom Morgentau benetzte Wiese zu sehen, brauchen Sie nur vor die Tür Ihrer Hütte zu treten. Berücksichtigen Sie die verschiedenen Beherbergungsal-ternativen der finnischen Campingplätze und Feriendörfer schon zu Hause beim Planen Ihrer Reise!

CampinghüttenEine Campinghütte ist eine preiswerte, gemütliche Alternative zum Wohnen mitten in der Natur. Die Auswahl reicht von kleinen Zwei-Personen-Hütten bis hin zu großen Hütten für vier oder fünf Perso-nen, in der Ihre ganze Familie oder Gruppe Platz hat. Zur Ausstat-tung einer Campinghütte gehören normalerweise mindestens die Betten samt Bettwäsche, Strom und Heizung. Viele Hütten verfügen auch über eine Kühlschrank und eine Kochplatte. Es ist zu empfehlen, dass Sie eigenes Geschirr und einen Schlafsack oder eigene Bettwä-sche mitbringen. Auf einigen Campingplätzen kann man sich bei der Rezeption Bettwäsche mieten oder kaufen. Für gewöhnlich haben Campinghütten keine Toilette und Dusche. Diese finden Sie in einem separaten Sanitärgebäude. Außerdem gibt es auf den Campingplät-zen auch Einrichtungen zum Kochen, Geschirrspülen und Essen.

FerienhüttenEs gibt Ferienhütten unterschiedlichen Niveaus, und die Bezeich-nungen können je nach Ort variieren. Im Allgemeinen meint man mit einer Ferienhütte eine besser ausgestattete Hütte, die über eine eigene Toilette, Dusche und Kochnische verfügt. Viele Hütten haben auch eine eigene Sauna. Die Küche oder Kochnische kann u. a. mit den folgenden Geräten ausgestattet sein: Kaffeeautomat, Mikrowelle, Herd mit Backofen, Geschirr und Besteck sowie Utensilien zum Ko-chen. Viele Ferienhütten sind auch im Winter bewohnbar, so dass Sie sich, je nach der Öffnungszeit des Campingplatzes, auch außerhalb der Sommersaison eine Ferienhütte mieten können.

Sonstige UnterbringungEinige Campingplätze bieten ihren Gästen auch Unterbringung in einem Gästezimmer an, zum Beispiel in einem Sommerhotel. Die Ausstattung der Zimmer variiert je nach Ort, aber Strom, Heizung, Betten, Bettwäsche, Kühlschrank sowie Toilette und Dusche gehö-ren in den meisten Fällen dazu. Camping cottages, holiday cottages, and rooms at camping sites and holiday villages

If you don’t happen to own a caravan or an RV, and if camping out in a tent is not your thing either, the camping sites and holiday villages in Finland also offer close to 4,000 cottages for people

on the move. The cottage offering is broad in scope and everyone is sure to find a suitable one as they range from basic camping site cottages to well-appointed holiday cottages. The size and standard of the cottages vary from site to site. What cottages at camping sites do have in common are the following: direct contact with nature, birdsong, the sound of wind in the willows, and the morning dew on the grass as you step out of the door of your cottage! Do take into consideration the accommodation alternatives offered by camping sites and holiday villages when next you plant a trip in Finland.

Camping site cottagesA camping site cottage is an inexpensive and pleasant form of ac-commodation close to nature. These cottages range from small cot-tages for two to cottages accommodating four and five persons, these bigger ones thus being able to house the entire family or a group of friends. The equipping of camping site cottage generally includes at least the beds and bed clothes, electricity, and heating. Often, these cottages also come with a refrigerator and a cooker. It is advisable that you bring your own crockery and sleeping bag or bed clothes with you. Some of the camping sites do not provide bed clothes. Normally, camping site cottages do not have en suite toilets and showers; instead, these are provided in a separate building. In addition, camping sites have separate cooking facilities for preparing food, for dining, and for washing dishes.

Holiday cottagesThe offering of holiday cottages is highly variable and the name used for them can also vary from site to site. These cottages are distin-guishable by being better appointed, and they include en suite toilet and shower and kitchen facilities. Often they also have their own sauna. The kitchen (or cooking facility) may come with items such as a coffee percolator, a microwave oven or a regular oven, crockery, and cooking utensils. Holiday cottages are also often habitable in winter, and consequently, if the camping site in question is open in winter, you can book these cottages throughout the year.

Other accommodation optionsSome camping sites also offer room accommodation, e.g. in a sepa-rate “summer hotel”. The equipping of rooms varies depending largely on the individual camping site, but the rooms normally come at least with electricity, heating, beds, bed clothes, a refrigerator, and toilet and shower. This publication includes details on close to 150 camping sites, and so you can look forward to plenty of alternatives along your route!

Finnische Campingplätze werden mit 1 bis 5 Sternen nach einem fünfstufigen Klassifizierungssystem geordnet. Die Klassifizierung geschieht folgendermasen: der Beauftragte für die Klassifizierung

besichtigt den Campingplatz, und beurteilt ihn entsprechend den in ganz Skandinavien geltenden Kriterien. Er sendet seine Ergebnisse zu der so genannten Klassifizierungsgruppe, die dann ihrerseits entscheidet, in wel-che Klasse der jeweilige Campingplatz eingeordnet wird. Im folgenden einige Beispiele für die Kriterien je nach Klasse:

★ Ein Stern-mindestes 25 Plätze für Wohnwagen, Wohnmobile oder Zelte-größe des Campingplatzes mindestens 80-100 m2-Toiletten, Duschen, Kochstellen

ANWEISUNGEN FÜR BENUTZER DES CAMPINGPLATZES

Ankunft auf dem CampingplatzMelden Sie sich bei Ihrer Ankunft an, legen Sie auf Aufforderung Ihr Personal-dokument vor und befolgen Sie die aufgestellten Regeln. Geben Sie an der Rezeption Ihre Camping-Karte ab, füllen Sie das Anmeldeformular (Melde-formular für Reisende) aus und bringen Sie die Campingnummer, die Sie er-halten, ordnungsgemäß an. Beachten Sie bei der Bezahlung die Anweisungen des Personals. Die Anmeldung von Gruppen erfolgt durch den Gruppenleiter. Das Fahren mit motorisierten Fahrzeugen ist auf dem Gelände nur direkt vom Eingang zum eigenen Campingliegeplatz gestattet. Auf dem Grundstück sind die vorgegebenen Geschwindigkeitsbegrenzungen und die, durch andere Verkehrsschilder vorgeschriebenen Regeln, einzuhalten. Sollten Sie abends auf dem Gelände eintreffen, vermeiden Sie bitte unnötige Störungen.

CampingBefolgen Sie die Anweisungen des Personals bei der Wahl des Liegeplatzes sowie beim Aufstellen des Wohnwagens, Zeltes und Fahrzeuges. Der Abstand zwischen den Wohnwagen und Zelten muss mindestens vier (4) Meter betragen. Die Aufstellung von Gruppenzelten muss separat vereinbart werden. Das Übernachten auf dem Campingplatz ist nur in Beherbergungs-ausrüstungen und in den Wohngebäuden gestattet. Feste Anordnungen und Baulichkeiten um Ihren Liegeplatz (z.B. Fahnenstange, Koppel, Gräben) sind ohne die Genehmigung des Geländepersonals für Sie verboten.

Aufenthalt auf dem CampingplatzLagerfeuer sind auf dem Cam-pingplatz nur an den dafür vor-gesehenen Stellen gestattet. Das Mitbringen von Schusswaffen, ge-fährlichen Stichwaffen, sowie an-deren störenden und gefährlichen Geräten auf den Campingplatz ist verboten. Nehmen Sie bei Benüt-zung von Radio, Fernsehen und Musikinstrumenten den ganzen Tag über Rücksicht auf andere. Achten Sie auch darauf, dass Ihre Kinder beim Spielen nicht andere Cam-pinggäste stören. Ballspiele sind nur auf den dafür vorgesehenen Plätzen erlaubt. Hunde und andere Haustiere müssen an die Leine genommen wer-den und in den dafür vorgesehenen Bereichen ausgeführt werden. Es ist verboten Kraftfahrzeuge im Leerlauf laufen zu lassen. Handel führen oder Ausüben zum Handel gehöriger Tätig-keiten ist ohne die Genehmigung des Grundstückshalters verboten. Der zu Störungen führende Genuss von alkoholischen Getränken ist verboten. Res-pektieren Sie den Wunsch anderer, ihre Ruhe haben zu wollen. Auf dem Cam-pingplatz herrscht Nachtruhe allgemein in der Zeit von 23:00 bis 7:00 Uhr.

Sauberkeit und HygieneHalten Sie die Umgebung Ihres Liegeplatzes sauber und reinigen Sie ihn vor Ihrer Abreise gründlich. Werfen Sie die unterschiedlichen Abfälle in die dafür vorgesehenen Abfallbehälter. Das Waschen von privater Wäsche und Hand-tüchern ist nur an den dafür vorgesehenen Plätzen erlaubt. Trocknen Sie Ihre Wäsche an den dafür vorgesehenen Plätzen. Verlassen Sie die Serviceräume sauber. Autowäsche und -service ist nur an den dafür vorgesehenen gekennzeichneten Plätzen gestattet. Schützen Sie die Natur und die Anpflanzungen auf dem Gelände.

HaftungJeder haftet für sein eigenes Hab und Gut. Die auf dem Campingplatz aufbe-wahrten Gegenstände unterliegen der Haftung des Kunden. Der Schadens-verursacher ist primär zur Behebung des Schadens verpflichtet. Die Inhaber einer gültigen Camping Card Scandinavia-Karte sind auf dem Campingplatz unfallversichert. Beim Erlangen einer Camping Card Scandinavia-Karte tragen Sie Ihren Teil zur Erhaltung der Ordnung des Campingplatzes bei. Machen Sie sich sorgfältig mit den Rettungsanweisungen auf der Anzeigetafel bekannt.

Verlassen des CampingplatzesGeben Sie beim Verlassen des Campingplatzes Ihre Campingnummer an der Rezeption ab und bitten Sie um Ihre Camping Card Scandinavia -Karte.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR CAMPSITE USERS

Arriving at the campsiteCheck in when you arrive, show proof of identity if requested and follow in-structions given. Hand in your Camping Card at the reception, fill in the guest card (Passenger Card) and place your camping number as instructed. Follow the staff ’s instructions when making payments. The group leader will check the group in. Driving a motor vehicle in the area is allowed only between the entrance and your own camping pitch. Speed limits must be followed inside the camping site as well as other traffic guide signs. If you arrive late at night, avoid unnecessary disturbance.

CampingFollow the staff ’s instructions when choosing a place and positioning your caravan, tent and vehicle. The distance between caravans and tents must be four (4) meters at the minimum. Group accommodation tents must be sepa-rately agreed upon. Staying overnight on the camping site is allowed only in camping facilities or in the camping buildings of the area. Fixed arrangements and structures around your camping pitch (e.g. flag pole, fencing and ditches) are forbidden without the staff ’s permission.

Staying in the areaMaking fire in the camping site is allowed only at places reserved for this purpose. Bringing firearms, dangerous cutting weapons and other disturbing and dangerous objects into the camping site is forbidden. Radio, TV and musical instruments must be used with consideration at all

hours. See that your children’s games do not disturb other campers.Ball games are allowed only in the areas reserved for them. Dogs and other pets must be leashed and walked in the area reserved for this purpose.Idle running of motor vehicles is forbid-den. Trading or related activities inside the camping site are forbidden without the campsite keeper’s written permis-sion. Disturbing use of alcoholic bev-erages is forbidden. Show respect to others who wish to be left in peace and quiet.Silence at the campsite starts usually at 11 p.m. and ends at 7 a.m.

Hygiene and tidinessKeep the environment around your camping pitch tidy and clean it properly before leaving the site. Take your waste to the different waste bins according-ly. Personal washing and washing laundry is allowed only in the areas reserved for these purposes. Dry your laundry in the place reserved for this purpose.Clean the service facilities after you have used them. Car wash and service are allowed only in places marked for this purpose. Protect the nature and plants of the area.

ResponsibilityAll campers are responsible for their own belongings. Property kept inside the camping site is at the responsibility of the client. Damages are to be com-pensated primarily by the person who caused the damage. The holders of a valid Camping Card Scandinavia are insured against accidents when inside the camping area. LAND IN KÜRZE Mit 338.000 qkm ist Finnland das siebtgrößte Land Europas. Größte Länge 1.160 km, größte Breite 540 km, 10 % der Fläche ist von Wasser (187 888 Seen) und 69 % von Wald bedeckt.

SPRACHE Finnland ist ein zweisprachiges Land. 93,0 % der Bevölkerung nennen Finnisch und ca. 6 % Schwedisch als ihre Muttersprache. In Lappland sprechen etwa 1.700 Einwohner Samisch.

KLIMA Dank seines Kontinentalklimas mit warmen Sommern und kalten Wintern erreicht Süd-Ostfinnland im Sommer die höchs-ten Durchschnittstemperaturen Skandinaviens. Die finnische Westküste gehört sogar zu den sonnigsten Gebieten Nordeuropas. Im Hochsommer steht in Nordfinnland die Sonne ständig über dem Horizont. In Utsjoki dauert dieser längste Sommertag mehr als zwei Monate. Auch im südlichen Finnland wird es nachts nicht richtig dun-kel. Während der Nachtstunden herrscht Abenddämmerung, die bald in Morgendämmerung übergeht.

EINREISEPAPIERE Besucher aus EU-Ländern, Island und Norwegen sowie Liechtenstein, San Marino und der Schweiz benötigen lediglich einen gültigen Personalausweis. Der Aufenthalt ist auf insgesamt drei Monate in den vier skandinavischen Ländern Dänemark, Norwegen, Schweden und Finnland beschränkt. Alle anderen Nationalitäten müs-sen einen gültigen Reisepaß ggfs. mit Visum vorlegen.

CAMPING In Finnland gibt es etwa 330 Campingplätze, von denen rund 200 der Finnish Campingsite Association (blauweißes Schild mit Zelt in einem C) angeschlossen sind. Die beste Zeit für Campingurlaub ist zwischen Mai/Juni und August/September, je nachdem, ob man sich im Süden oder Norden des Landes aufhält. 70 Plätze sind ganzjährig ge-öffnet. Viele Campingplätze vermieten auch Hütten für 2–6 Personen mit Kochgelegenheit und Kühlschrank, etliche auch mit Heizung, Waschgelegenheit und Toilette.

VerkehrregelALLGEMEINE BESTIMMUNGEN Finnland ist verkehrsmäßig bestens erschlossen. Es herrscht Rechtsverkehr. “Leiser Verkehr“ ist Vorschrift, akustische Warnsignale dürfen nur bei drohender Gefahr gegeben werden.

ELCHE UND RENTIERE Elche und Rentiere überqueren die Strassen vor allem bei Dämmerung. Es ist also dringend geraten, die aufgestellten Warnschilder zu beachten. Nach einem Wildunfall ist un-verzüglich die nächste Polizeidienststelle zu informieren (Notruf 112).

GESCHWINDIGKEITSBEGRENZUNGEN In geschlossenen Ortschaften gilt eine Geschwindigkeitsbegrenzung von 50 km/h, ausser-halb ist die zulässige Höchstgeschwindigkeit (auf Landstrassen bis 100 km/h, auf Autobahnen im Sommer bis 120 km/h) weitgehend ausge-schildert. Soweit keine Beschilderung vorhanden ist, darf nicht schnel-ler als 80 km/h gefahren werden.

LICHT Jedes Kraftfahrzeug muß zu jeder Tageszeit mit Abblendlicht fahren.

NORMEN In Finnland gelten das metrische und das Dezimalsystem. Die Größenangaben für Bekleidung und Schuhe entsprechen den mit-teleuropäischen.

GASFLASCHEN Ausländische Gasflaschen werden an finnischen Tankstellen nicht ausgetauscht. Es empfiehlt sich deshalb, das für denAufenthalt benötigte Gas mitzubringen.

STROM Finnland hat 220V (50Hz) Wechselstrom. Die Normen für Geräte und Steckdosen sind die-selben wie z.B. in Deutschland und Österreich.

GELD/GELDWECHSEL Euro ist die offizielle Währung. Geldwechsel ist problemlos bei allen Banken (Mo–Fr 9.15–16.15 Uhr, kann örtlich variieren) und in den meisten Hotels sowie in größe-ren Warenhäusern möglich. Darüber hinaus ist es mit der EC-Karte möglich, bei den meisten s.g. OTTO-Bankautomaten Geld abzuheben. Weitere Informationen in Ihrer Bank.

POST Die Postämter sind meistens Mo-Fr von 9-18 Uhr geöffnet.

MÜCKEN Finnland ist das Land der vielen Seen. Die Natur ist noch sauber und rein. Das zieht auch die Mücken an – aber nur für wenige Wochen im Hochsommer. In Süd- und Mittelfinnland treten diese fast nur in feuchten, windstillen Gebieten auf. Besonders in Nordfinnland ist Mückenschutz angeraten. Erprobte Mittel – vielfach auf pflanzlicher Basis – werden in Drogerien und Apotheken angeboten.

MEDIZINISCHE VERSORGUNG Medizinische Versorgung von hohem Standard ist im ganzen Land gewährleistet. Bei Erkrankung oder Unfall gilt das deutsch/österreichisch-finnische Sozialversicherungsabkommen. Es beinhaltet die ambulante Versorgung in den in Finnland üblichen Gesundheitszentren Terveyskeskus und Polikliniken.

DAS JEDERMANNSRECHT erklärt sich nur im Zusammenhang mit dem in Finnland sehr ausgeprägten Verantwortungsbewußtsein der Umwelt gegenüber. Es enthält die Verpflichtung, der Natur, den Land- und Gewässereigentümern sowie anderen Rechtsinhabern keinerlei Störung oder Schaden zuzufügen. Im wiederum bewuß-ten Rahmen gibt die Bestimmung andererseits das Recht, sich zu Fuß frei in der Natur zu bewegen. Vorübergehender Aufenthalt in hinrei-chender Entfernung von bewohnten Anwesen wird geduldet, wenn für den Besitzer damit keine Belästigung oder Beeinträchtigung ver-bunden ist. Das Jedermannsrecht gestattet außerdem das Pflücken von Blumen, die nicht unter Naturschutz stehen, das Sammeln von Beeren und Pilzen sowie das Baden in Seen und Flüssen, sofern die Gewässer nicht in Privatbesitz sind. Für das Angeln und Jagen bedarf es einer Genehmigung. Nicht erlaubt ist im allgemeinen offenes Feuer im Freien oder Lagerfeuer.

FINLAND (Suomi in Finnish), member of EU since 1995, is sit-uated between the 60th and 70th degrees of latitude. By area it is the 7th largest country in Europe covering 338 000 sq.km, of which 10 % is water (187 888 lakes), 69 % forest and 8 % cultivated. The maximum length of the country is 1160 km (721 miles) and the maximum width 540 km (336 miles).

THE POPULATION of Finland is about 5 200 000 giving a population density of 17 inhabitants per square kilometre. The moth-er tongue of 93 % of the Finns is Finnish, and about 6 % are Swedish speaking. A vast majority of the Finns are Lutheran (85.6 %) by reli-gion, and a small percentage (1.1 %) are Eastern Orthodox.

FORM OF GOVERNMENT: Independent republic since De-cember 6, 1917. Parliament consists of one chamber with 200 mem-bers elected for a term of four years by direct and proportional elec-tion.

CLIMATE: Owing to the vicinity of the Atlantic Ocean and the GulfStream, Finland’s climate is temperate. Summer in Finland is warm, bright and exhilarating. Most important, the air in this Scandi-navian country is fresh, clean, pure and invigorating at all times of the year. Low humidity makes winter temperatures generally feel a lot warmer than thermometer readings would suggest.

CURRENCY REGULATIONS: Euro is the official currency in Finland. There are no restrictions on the importation or exportation of currency, as far as travellers are concerned.

CAMPING SITES: There are about 330 camping sites with cab-ins and holiday cottages. Most have cooking facilities, kiosks and can-teens. Camping elsewhere than on an official camping site and making a campfire are forbidden without the permission of the landowner.

BANKS are open Monday-Friday 9.15-16.15 (office hours may vary regionally). Closed on Saturdays. Foreign currency and travel-lers’ cheques can also be exchanged in several currency exchange of-fices in the centre of Helsinki.

ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES: The electric current in Finland is 220V (230V), 50Hz. Plugs are two-pin continental European stand-ard.

EMERGENCIES Dial 112. Other emergency numbers and in-structions can be found in telephone booths and directories.

MOTORING: Finland has right-hand traffic with overtaking on the left. There is a variable speed limit of 60-80-100 kph for all roads. The restrictions are indicated by signs. If no signs are posted, the ba-sic speed limit is always 80 kph. On motorways the normal speed limit is 120 kph in summer and 100 kph in winter. Usually, there is a speed limit of 40-60 kph in built-up areas. Most road signs are simi-

lar to those used elsewhere in continental Europe. Caravan width. The width of a caravan may not exceed 2.6 metres. If a trailer exceeds 2.3 m in width, it may not exceed the registered width of the vehicle pull-ing it by more than 0.6 m.Car lights: All motor vehicles must use headlights at all times of the day regardless of weather conditions.Compulsory use of seat belts: In private cars seat belts must be worn by the driver and all passengers, front and back, in taxis the rule applies to all passengers.Driving and alcohol: Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is forbidden There is an exact maximum limit of 0.5 ‰ of alco-hol in the blood. Infringement of this rule nearly always brings a penal-ty in the form of a fine or imprisonment. 1.2 ‰ is the limit for heavy penalties.

MEDICAL SERVICES: Medicines are sold only at pharmacies (in-Finnish Apteekki). Some pharmacies have late opening hours. In Hel-sinki, the one at Mannerheimintie 96, tel. (09)-4178 0300 has 24-hour service.

POST OFFICES AND MAIL: Post offices are generally open from 9 - 18 Monday to Friday, times may vary locally. Stamped mail can be dropped in yellow mail boxes for collection. Stamps are available at post offices and many bookstores, kiosks, railway and bus stations.

SAUNA AND SWIMMING: There is one sauna per every three people in Finland and visitors will find them everywhere – in hotels, pri-vate homes, on board ships, at motels and in holiday villages.

ENVIRONMENT: Finland is a clean country. A kind of national en-vironmental conscience has taken care of installing strict guidelines on waste and emissions.

EVERYMAN’S RIGHTS: The age-old Nordic everyman’s rights generally allow people to move freely as long as they do not damage other people’s property or disturb people or animals. Therefore you may walk, ski or camp temporarily almost everywhere except fields and gardens and close to people’s homes. You may not damage prop-erty, disturb wildlife or light an open fire.

Bare ground appearing from under the snow, fresh scents and warm sunshine wakes up Ranua Wildlife Park’s fauna to spend the summer. The construction of nests begins, new animal families are born in sum-mer and in autumn many young animals are already nearly grown up.

In Ranua Wildlife Park it is possible to see northern and arctic animals in their natural environment. Both children and grown-ups are welcome to enjoy the experiences it offers!

Apart from wild animals, we offer in the summertime in our versatile service center, among others, a fairytale park, a domestic animal park, an adventure path, kiosks with beverages and ice cream, an exhibition of arctic stones… Along the route there are also nice places for having a break, for taking a rest and for having a picnic! In summer it is also possible to go to guided all-terrain vehicle safaris and to hiking, fishing and canoeing excursions.

In winter, during the period of darkness and at Christmas time the park with its ice sculptures and snow and ice constructions is a fabulous destination. In the Finnish tradition, men and animals have al-ways spent a joint Christmas. In Ranua this tradition can be sensed and experienced. In addition, our services include in winter snowmobile safaris, reindeer and sled dog rides and snowshoe safaris.

Ranua Wildlife Park Camping (11.2.-13.3. / 22.4.-30.9.2011)The new 40 seated caravan area. The area provides a kitchen with dining facilities, an outdoor grill, sau-nas, showers, a washing machine, a playground for children and a toilet emptying point. In connection with

the camping site there is a comprehensive ski trail network in winter, and in summer an outdoor recreation path, by the side of which a shelter and a bivouac shelter are located. The services are complemented by Ranua Wildlife Park’s Restaurant Jussan Pirtti, Fazer sweets store, souvenir shop Jussan Paja and Linna Souvenirs.

Ranuajärvi Camping Site (1.6.-31.8.)The camping site provides a child-friendly beach and an amusement park appreciated by children and a trampoline. The reception building and cafeteria are open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. The area consists of: a toilet and shower building (two

toilets and showers for men and women, in addition, invalid accessories and two washing-up places), a chemical toilet emptying point, main build-ing cooking facilities, a cafeteria, a minigolf track, boat and kayak renting, two saunas.

rungsstellen für Abwasser und Chemietoilette. Das Restaurant Jussanpirtti, ein Fa-

zer-Süßwarengeschäft und Souvenirläden runden den Service von RanuaZooCam-

ping ab. Direkt am RanuaZooCamping beginnt ein Wanderweg. Der örtliche Ve-

ranstalter Wildlife Safaris richtet auch geführte Quad-, Wander-, Angel- und Paddel-

touren aus. Im Winter geht vom Campinggelände ein umfassendes Loipennetz aus,

und Wildlife Safaris bietet geführte Schneeschuhtouren, Motorschlittensafaris und

Exkursionen zu Rentierherden und Schlittenhundstationen an. Der Tierpark direkt

am Wohnwagengelände bietet ferner ganzjährig zahlreiche Spitzenerlebnisse. Am

Wegrand im naturschönen Tierpark begegnen viele Tierarten und interessante Ein-

zeltiere. RanuaZooCamping ist ein einzigartiger Ausgangspunkt für kurze und lange

Touren in die Wildmark von Ranua oder in den Tierpark.

Ranua ZooCamping is a cosy and

calm caravan site near the Ra-

nua Wildlife Park. The site was comp-

leted in 2009 and offers pitches for 24

cars and caravans. By summer 2010, 20

additional pitches will be provided at

the caravan site. The Ranua ZooCam-

ping equipment includes a kitchen with

spacious dining facilities, an outdoor barbecue, saunas and showers, a playground

for children, a washing machine, a dryer and sewage and toilet draining points.

The services of Ranua ZooCamping include the Jussanpirtti restaurant, the Fazer

sweet shop and souvenir shops. There is a walking path starting next to the Ranua

ZooCamping site. The local company Wildlife Safaris also arranges guided tours

with buggies, and trekking, fishing and canoeing tours. In winter, there is an exten-

sive ski track network next to the camping site, and Wildlife Safaris offers guided

snowshoe tours, snowmobile safaris and visits to reindeer and sled dog farms. The

wildlife park next to the caravan site also offers many wonderful experiences all

year round. Along the naturally beautiful wildlife route, visitors can spot many dif-

ferent animals, each with its own unique personality. Ranua ZooCamping is an ex-

cellent base, whether you are a planning short or long tour of the Ranua wilder-

ness or wildlife park.

Tornio Camping is a quiet camp site located on an island. The services of

downtown Tornio and Haaparanta, each less than 2 miles away, can be

accessed by bicycle or on foot. The site offers camping cabins and a spacio-

us caravan and camping site. The cosy, renovated maintenance building pro-

vides sauna facilities at night. Barbecuing can be done at a lean-to or at one

of the outdoor barbecues. In terms of children’s activities, the beach and the

playground are the places to be. There are bicycles, boats and a traditional

beach sauna for rent. You can order breakfast in the new cafeteria. The site

is open between 3 May and 30 September 2011 (closed at Midsummer bet-

ween 24 and 25 June 2011), and at other times (when available) by telepho-

ne booking in advance.
