As one of The Hambletonian Society’s richest and most prestigious events, the Breeders Crown features competition between the greatest harness racing athletes in the world.

Not only will the Breeders Crown take place in the Midwest for the first time in three decades, it will take place for the very first time on Indiana soil.

ABOUT THE HAMBLETONIAN SOCIETYThe Hambletonian Society is a non-profit organization formed in 1924 to sponsor the race for which

it was named, the Hambletonian Stakes. The society’s mission is to encourage and support the

breeding of Standardbred horses through the development, administration and promotion of

harness racing stakes, early-closing races and other special events.

The Hambletonian Society owns 131 of harness racing’s most prominent races: the Hambletonian

Stakes; the Hambletonian Oaks; and the sport’s championship series, the Breeders Crown.

The Breeders Crown was initiated by the Hambletonian Society in 1984 to enhance the

Standardbred breeding industry and to promote the sport of harness racing by providing a

lucrative high profile race in each of its different categories.
