She departed this life Saturday, December 27, 2014 at her home in the Summersville Community of Green County, having attained the age of sixty-nine years, five months and twenty-four days. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Aetna Grove Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and farmer. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death August 9, 2011 by her husband, R.C. Milby., Jr. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Nancy Milby Tucker and her husband Mike of Summersville, two sons and one daughter-in-law: Ricky Wayne Milby of Summersville and John and Kristin Milby of Lebanon, one brother: Leon Jewell of Greensburg and five grandchildren: Kayla Milby, Harley Tucker, John-Michael Milby, Greer Milby and Patrick Milby, plus a host of other relatives and friends. Mrs. Carolyn Jewell Milby was born July 3, 1945 in Green County, KY to the late William and Lorene Edwards Jewell. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Aetna Grove Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and farmer. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death August 9, 2011 by her husband, R.C. Milby., Jr.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Nancy Milby Tucker and her husband Mike of Summersville, two sons and one daughter-in-law: Ricky Wayne Milby of Summersville and John and Kristin Milby of Lebanon, one brother: Leon Jewell of Greensburg and five grandchildren: Kayla Milby, Harley Tucker, John-Michael Milby, Greer Milby and Patrick Milby, plus a host of other relatives and friends.

A Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Aetna Grove Cemetery with Rev. Leslie Jewell officiating. Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

He is survived by his wife: Nancy S. Robertson; daughter, Angela; son, Coleman Robertson, one brother and sister-in-law: Lemuel "Buck" and Eva Robertson of Greensburg, 5 grandchildren and two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Doris Boyd Puckett was born January 17, 1927 in Glendale, KY to the late Willim Tyra Boyd and Anna Mae Buckles Boyd. She departed this life Thursday, December 18, 2014 at the Campbellsville Retirement Home, having attained the age of eighty-seven years and eleven months.

Mrs. Puckett had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the James L. Pruitt Post 5813 Ladies Auxiliary Greensburg, KY, American Amateur Radio Club, Green County and Hart County Historical Societies. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband: Calvin Puckett, Jr., one daughter: Geraldine Wilson, onebrother: Morris Boyd.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Richard "Ty" and Mary M. Puckett of Greensburg, six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, plus a host of other relatives and friends.

The family chose cremation. There will be no service at this time. Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg is in charge of the arrangements.

Joe Thomas Warren was born November 16, 1930 in Larue County, KY to the late Howard and Ruby Osborne Warren. He departed this life Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at the Golden Living Center-Green Hill in Greensburg, having attained the age of eighty four years and one month.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Liberty Missionary Baptist Church. He wasa United States Army Veteran and was a sawmill worker.

IN MEMORY OFMary Helen Pruitt Thompson

Mrs. Mary Helen Pruitt Thompson, age 79 of Hartsville, Tennessee, passed away Monday at the Hartsville Convalescent Center. Mary was the seventh of nine siblings born on September 18, 1935 in Fry, KY to her parents, Willie Clyde and Willie Ellen Morgan Pruitt. She graduated from Green County High School, Greensburg, KY in 1954. In 1953 she married Lewis Robert Thompson. Following his return from the Army in 1955, the Thompsons moved to Louisville, KY where they worked for Pillsbury and Lewis attended school. In 1958 they re-located to Hartsville, TN with his job at Columbia Gulf Transmission Company. They were married for 30 years. She retired in 1997 after 28 years with Trousdale Manufacturing Company and 3 years at Bates Cee Bee to help babysit her grandchildren. Mary was a 56 year member of the Hartsville First Baptist Church where she taught the 4 and 5 year old Preschool Sunday School class for approximately 30 years. She was a 41 year member of the Crescent Chapter #26, Order of the Eastern Star where she served in the East a number of times as well as with state committee, page and representative appointments. From 1973 to 1980 she servedas Mother Advisor of Hartsville Assembly # 18, Order of the Rainbow Girls.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Ann and Robert Thurman of Hartsville, Tenn., four grandchildren: Seth and Maryanna Thurman of Hartsville, TN, Brennan (Heather) Thurman of Franklin, KY and Joshua (Kaitlin) Vantrease of Westmoreland, TN; four great grandchildren: Mariah, Kaleb, Luke and Kayde; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Lenn and Mary Ellen Pruitt and Clifford and Lana Pruitt of Greensburg, two sisters-in-law: Maxidean Pruitt of Greensburg and Jane Pruitt of Glasgow and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Helen Pruitt Thompson will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday at the Hartsville First Baptist Church with Bro. Darryl Turner officiating. Burial will be in the Hartsville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 Wednesday at Anthony Funeral Home in Hartsville, Tennessee and after 9 a.m. Friday at the church. Eastern Star services will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday at Anthony Funeral Home in Hartsville, TN.

Mrs. Norma Jo Karnes was born July 11, 1934 in Adair County, KY to the late Melvin and Ines Bennett Garrison. She departed this life Sunday, November 16, 2014 at her home in Greensburg, having attained the age of eighty years, four months and five days.

Mrs. Karnes had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the South Summersville Baptist Church. She worked at Fruit of the Loom for several years. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by one son: Bill Karnes, granddaughter: Megan Karnes, and her sister: Earnestine Squires, and daughter-in-law: Angie Davis Karnes.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Oak Forest Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband: Eli Dobson, son and daughter-in-law: Ledford Wayne and Betty Dobson, brother: Boyce Marcum, half- brother: Thurman Marcum and step-mother: Grace Marcum.

She is survived by three grandsons: Howell, Blake and Brad Dobson of Bowling Green, special niece and great niece: Sarah Henderson and Peggy Frank of Greensburg and three great grandchildren.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Shady Grove Baptist Church. She was an owner/operator of Turner's Café and Shell Station in Horse Cave, KY. and she was head of the Greensburg Senior Citizens for 27 years. She retired at the age of 90. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband: Lester Turner, one infant son: Lester Turner, Jr, one daughter: Alma Thompson and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her granddaughter: Linda Doss (Michael) of Columbia, three great grandchildren: Jason Turner (Staci) of Antioch, Tennessee, Matthew Aaron Turner of Campbellsville and Ashley Sheree Turner of Columbia, three great great grandchildren: Ryan Hogan, Cayden Murphy and Ethan Murphy, all of Columbia, plus a host of other relatives and friends.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death December 25, 2005 by her husband William Acree. She was a member of the Center United Methodist Church. She retired from the Green County School System, where she worked as a Food Service Director.

IN MEMORY OFJunior (J.R.) A. Bagby

Junior (J.R.) A. Bagby, 86, Campbellsville, KY formerly of Cambridge, Ohio passed peacefully November 4, 2014, at Golden Living Center-Green Hill, Greensburg, KY after a long and courageous battle with cancer. J.R. was born September 9, 1928 to James and Lela (Acree) Bagby, Greensburg, Ky. Although he fought this disease many years of his life he lived a full and wonderful life with his loving wife Clydene whom he married December 12, 1947. They have three surviving children Larry (Jean) Bagby, Wooster, Ohio, Keith Bagby, Campbellsville and Patty (Ted) Khune, Cambridge, Ohio. Grandchildren, Shane, Shannon, Chad, Justin, Jessi and Kymmie. Great-grandchildren, Michael, Kristin, Lela, Zack, Kyla, Gavin, Gage & Gabi. A special person to J.R. & Clydene who has been like a granddaughter, Joanna Vaughn.

Mr. Bagby was predeceased by his parents, James & Lela Bagby, brothers James, Ellis, Ruppert, Vernon, sisterDimple, a daughter in law, Brenda. He has one surviving sister, Lassie Schmidt of Campbellsville, KY.

As a young couple J.R. & Clydene traveled the U.S. working in factories, the oilfields, managing Hillcrest skatingrink and the head sawyer at Hinchcliff Products Co for many years. J.R. was a friend to all that knew him and hewill be loved and remembered always. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and his signature laugh and that twinkle in his eyes will bring a smile to us all as we remember his antics and joy in his life.

Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home of Greensburg KY is taking care of his final arrangements and he will be cremated with no funeral services. His family will have a private gathering to celebrate his Life at a time of their choosing.

It is the request of Mr. Bagby that any donations be sent to Taylor County Animal Shelter, 2175 Hodgenville Rd, Campbellsville, KY 42718 in his honor.

Ellen Louise Fields England was born April 23, 1934 in Metcalfe County to the late Leonard and Bertha Fields. She departed this life Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility in Columbus, Indiana, having attained the age of eighty years, six months and eight days.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended Gadyville Baptist Church, where her grandson Keith was her pastor. She was a homemaker. She married Franklin Fields on July 16, 1953 with whom she had 5 children; he preceded her in death on September 19, 2001. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers: Herman Grissom and James Fields; sisters: Jewell McInteer and Myrtle Coomer and a son-in-law: Edward Lloyd on September 25, 2014.

She is survived by three sons and three daughters-in-law: Jerry and Lisa Fields of Green Co., Gary and Connie Fields of Seymour, Indiana and David and Bonne Fields of Edmonton, KY, two daughters and one son-in-law: Linda Lloyd and Patricia and Paul Lewis of Columbus, Indiana, one brother and sister-in-law: Edward and Carolyn Fields of Horse Cave, KY, twenty-seven grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, plus a host of other relatives and friends.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her children: Troy A. Nolan and Stacy L. Nolan and her brother: Robert L. Brown. She worked as a bartender and waitress. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary to Post 5813, Greensburg, KY. She was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, the Moose Lodge, American Legion and ABATE. Denise loved her family and enjoyed her dogs.

She is survived by two daughters: Tracy Jo Nolan-Jordan of Indiana and Tabatha DeAnn and Bowers of Greensburg, four sisters: Carolyn Sue Endicott, Gertrude L. Jones, Edna Ruth Stopparo and Jennifer Harris, five grandchildren: Michael A. Rice, Mitchell A. Rice, Matthew A. Jacobs, Mark A. Rice and Reid A. Newkirk, great grandson: Miles Rice, plus a host of other relatives and friends.

A memorial service for Denise "JoJo" Walden will be conducted 1 p.m. Sunday at the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg. There will be no burial, the family chose cremation. She worked at Jane Todd Crawford Hospital as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was a CPR instructor, avid reader, loved playing the piano, clogger, pharmacist technician, and nail tech. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death November 30 2013 by her husband, Robert LeeBarnett. In 1983 she was preceded in death by one son: Donald Lee Barnett. Also preceding her in death are four brothers: Wallace, Ben, Lincoln and Abra White.

Trent Colvin, age 49 passed away from cancer on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at his home in Greensburg under the care of Hosparus.

Trent was a graduate of Green County High School and Elizabethtown Community College. He worked for several years at Clark's Plumbing and Heating Supply in Lebanon and Ace Hardware in Springfield and for K-Country Radio. He had a passion for fishing and successfully competed in tournaments with his good friend Eddie Goode and won "Angler of the Year Awards". He was a member of the Christian fishing club "Fishers of Men" and served as the National Public Relations Director of "Fishing For Kids" which provided rods, reels and bait for disadvantaged children and taught them some of the techniques of successful fishing, sportsmanship and safety.

Trent is survived by his son, Alex Colvin; his parents, Bill and Lois Colvin; one sister, Connie Shuffett and her husband Stan; special niece and nephew; Kiley and Landon Shuffett; uncles and aunts, Jean Blakeman of Naples, Florida; James Pendleton of Whitewood; Viola Brown of Greensburg; Helen Redman of New Mexico; Cletus and Linda Colvin of Leitchfield; Pauline and Dave Wren of Louisville; Margaret and Paul Brockman of Lebanon; Sue Colvin of Georgetown; Wanda and Johnny Abell of Finley; Donald and Pam Colvin of Campbellsville; and Barbara and Mike Shaw of Eminence; his first maternal first cousin, Mark Blakeman; special friends, Eddie Goode, Van Gadberry, John Roution, Doug Hall, Darryl Aubrey, Greg Laramore, Todd and Tommy Rogers, Susan Parker Hughes, Janie Dile Borders, Ronnadean Allen Bertram, Michelle Cash, the buddies at K & P Marina and many other relatives, friends and classmates.
