The Taoyuan Museum of Fine

Arts organizes the biennial

Taoyuan International Art

Award'' l isted as one of the

top three modern arts creation

competitions with the Taipei

Fine Arts Award and Kaohsiung

Award in Taiwan. The application

this year will be open from June

1st to July 10th. Works that

are officially released for the

first time and belong to new

creations without any domestic

or international awards winning

are welcome. There wi l l be

no limitations on nationality,

individuals or groups. Every

contes tant i s we lcome to

compete for this modern arts

competition. The first prize winner

will be granted with a prize in

the amount of NTD500,000. For

2020 Tao Zhu Miao Firewood Ceramic Works and

Tea Party ExhibitionThere are many skilled artists of firewood works in

Taoyuan, Hsinchu, and Miaoli presenting diverse arts

creation. This Exhibition showcases 30 arts creators

of firewood works from 19 kilns in three cities and

county featuring their unique firewood arts creation

for visitors with individual styles. Furthermore, through

the scenario setting of tea party, cultures of tea and

ceramics are linked to present their essences and give

deeper introduction to its visitors. For more exhibition

Dr. Hsu Hung-Yang is a well-known gynecologist

and obstetrician in Taoyuan. In his leisure time,

he collects artifacts and art works at his Yi Ju

Tang''including antiques, Ming Dynasty furniture,

classical Chinese furniture, bronze vessels

and his favorite Song Dynasty Ceramics.

He fell in love with Song Dynasty Ceramics

because of their simple shapes, elegance and

proper proportions and dimensions. He said,

Collection is a journey of individual learning

that inspires one to improve cultural literacy

from appreciation. Collection is in contact with

beauty directly and collection requires the in-

depth appreciation.'' This exhibition features

about 80 pieces of artworks mainly Song

Dynasty Ceramics and will be held from May 6th

2020 to May 24th 2020 at the Exhibition Room

2 on Floor 3 of the Bureau of Cultural Affairs in

Taoyuan and everyone is welcome.

Taiwan, the Abstract Time-Painting Exhibition of Lin Tsang YuMaster Lin, has been engaged in diverse creation and known as

one of the few creators of literature, novels, poetry and arts. Since

2009, under the theme of Taiwan, the Abstract Time,'' he has

held individual abstract paintings at the National Dr. Sun Yat-sen

Memorial Hall in Taipei, Hualien Museum of Fine Arts, and private

galleries. Lin's works surpass shapes and colors and look for

inner freedom and power with the attempt to demonstrate the in-

depth charm of paintings. He expresses wildness and calmness as

well as serenity and depth while he is able to manage colors and

shapes to construct diverse discourse and interpretation of self-

reflection, observation of life and soul dimension.

The Balloon Art Exhibition of Children’s Day at Taoyuan Public LibraryThe exhibition named Awakening of Fairy

Tales'' displays from 1st April through

20th May. Welcome visitors of all ages

to celebrate the Children's Day.

A good imagination is always the most shining

star in our mind. We have various types of

imagination forms to embrace and share our

dreams. The Artist Tsai Chieh-Hsin uses her

tender but strong power to instill in her works

and leads viewers to embrace self-value and

relax the body and mind for the beautiful

moment in the exhibition.

This exhibition turns the field space

into the wonderland of yours and mine by

transforming the public perception towards

arts. Each visitor is invited to become the co-

creator of "the Scene of Star Immigration."

Let us get rid of the arts standards and walk

slowly to the world of free imagination.
