A monthly publication of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church

Omelet you in on a secret… we are having an EGGDROP on March 31st at 10am.

Bring your friends and family to our annual Eggstravaganza! You will be hard boiled to find a better way to spend your

Saturday morning. We want this event to be over easy for you to invite your friends. We want you to be sunny side up so come with a smile. Scramble your current plans and come

join us. Wear some sunscreen so you don’t get fried. Really, all yolking aside, we are excited about this family event and we hope you, your family and some friends come to hunt for

eggs, eat some food, have some fun and maybe win an awesome door prize!

We have boxes located around the church for egg donations, please bring goodie stuffed plastic eggs and tape them

closed. Please bring loads of eggs so we can make this an awesome event for the children!

Can you believe March is here. February was a super busy month for our church and we saw God do some amazing things. First, our men’s conference was a huge success. We had 215 men attend and we saw several decisions made during the conference. Second, the widow and widower banquet sponsored by the

deacons was such a blessing. If you are a widow or widower and were unable to attend I hope next year you will be able to make it. Our deacons and wives did an amazing job. Third, our children's ministry day was outstanding. So many people mentioned how blessed they were to see the children on stage singing and leading in different areas of the service. One newer member mentioned to me how she was so impressed our church put such an emphasis on children. I want to say thank you to Michael, Stephen, and youth hosts for their hard work making the day a success.

Even though February is over we are not slowing down. March brings us into the Easter season and my hope is each of us will spend this Easter season sharing our faith and proclaiming the goodness of God in our lives. I want to challenge each of you to invite 2 people for one of our Easter services. Our goal this year is 800 people for Easter attendance. Usually we hit 600-650 on that day with very little effort put into it. Just imagine if each person intentionally invited 2 people. Don't forget Easter is Sunday, April 1st, no kidding.

Finally, I want to say a word about our 552 challenge. $5 per week for 52 weeks of 2018. Many of you are taking the challenge and we see it in the overall general fund giving. I want to encourage those who have not yet accepted the challenge to pray about it and let God lead. Have a great month and as always, I covet your prayers.

Grace & Peace

Bro. Geoff

2018 E-Women Conference

LIFT Women’s ministry will attend the Pensacola E-Women Conference April 20 & 21. Sign up in the foyer. Tickets are $60. We are asking for a $25 deposit due at sign up. Speakers include Julie Clinton, Jo Saxton, Sadie Robertson, Sheila Walsh, Shelene Bryan, and Bianca Olhoff. If you have any questions, please see Becki Holovack.

Our 5/52 challenge has begun. We are asking all that can to give $5 more per week during the 52 weeks of 2018. Lets all step out in faith a little bit more and lets see what God does.

If you have an upcoming surgery scheduled during the next month, and would like a pastoral visit, please call the church office. We would like to know about these ahead of time so we can get the surgery on the calendar, plan a visit and so we can also be in prayer for you. Thank you!

Ferrand Celebration March 11th after Grow Groups, we will meet for a special celebration. We would like to come together in fellowship to welcome our new Music Pastor, Stephen Ferrand, his wife Natalie and their children to our church. We also would like to celebrate their soon to be born baby boy. The family is in need of a few things. They prefer Luvs or Pamper diapers, Huggies Natural Care wipes, and Walmart or Publix gift cards are always great. Natalie is looking at getting a rocker and ottoman from Babies R Us for the new little one’s nursery. They are also excepting any house warming gifts as well. Lets show them a big PRBC welcome!

Saturday, March 24th 8 a.m. - 11a.m.

The properties committee is calling a Church Work Day. They are asking for you to meet at the church at 8:00 a.m. on March 24th. If you are interested in helping but can not make it on this day we would still appreciate your help. Please contact Malcolm Spears about jobs that can be done at a different time.

Easter falls on April 1st this year! Make sure to invite a friend or another family to join us. We will have our regular schedule of service Easter morning. All evening activities will be canceled.

Ladies, our next Stampin’ Up meeting will be

Monday, March 12th at 6:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.

Walk For Life / Baby Bottles The Crestview Pregnancy center is trying to raise money to be able to help moms in our community. They are asking for our help with the

fundraising. Team fundraising will be done during February and March. You are invited to form a team or sign up as an individual.

To register a team or join a team, use the link below: http://www.cpcwalk2018.com/

We are also providing the opportunity to raise funds by taking a baby bottle and filling it with loose change. The bottles are located in the foyer. Once you have filled your bottle please return it to Lindsay

Carlisle in the foyer after the 11:00 a.m. service or to the church office during the week. Bottles are due back by March 25th. Remember that

spring break is during the month of March so if you will be out of town, make sure to turn in your bottle early.

The Crestview Pregnancy Center (CPC) is excited to have your support through prayer and involvement!
