The Provincial Grand Master wishes Everyone a Happy New Year

Lynne joins me in wishing all the Mark

Brethren of West Lancashire a very happy

New Year. We trust that you have had an

enjoyable festive season and have been

able to spend as much time as possible

with your families and loved ones.

The season has now resumed and there is

so much planned within the Province. The

29th of January sees the demonstration of

The Building of the Second Degree Tracing

Board by Semper Fidelis Lodge 880 at Ley-

land. The Provincial Grand Secretary tells

me that over one hundred have book in

already, so if you haven’t booked in do so

now. Don’t forget that Craft Master Masons

are welcome, they will not have seen any-

thing like this before.

In other parts of the Province Lodges are

planning to hold events ever mindful that as

they raise money for the Charities they also

have tremendous fun. Ridgmont Mark are

celebrating the Chinese New Year with a

banquet on the 15th February and then

there is the first Mark Provincial Barn Dance

at St. Saviours Hall in Bamber Bridge on the

23rd February. Chorlton Mark will be cele-

brating 125 years with a evening of enter-

tainment on the 16th March, For just £25

you will be entertained by a Singer a Magi-

cian a Comedian and a DJ to dance to. Oh, I

almost forgot there is food as well.

Full details will be on the back page of this

publication and also on the web site.

“What a tremendous

difference our help will

make to this young family”

When Sarah and Greig asked Rory

Maskell if he would assist them in

raising monies, for the treatment

and equipment required by their

young son Grayson, little did they

know that the weight of a caring

organisation, which is the West

Lancashire Mark Masonic Prov-

ince, was about to spring into ac-

tion.

On Saturday 15th December, Santa Clause made a sur-

prise visit to Garston Masonic Hall where some children

were enjoying a Christmas Party. He magically appeared

from nowhere much to the surprise and delight of all the

children. Luckily, there were two of his little helpers to

hand, Carol and Karen. See full story here

At the December Meeting of New Temple Mark Lodge

the members together with their guests were treated to

an excellent presentation of the Mark Tracing Board.

This unique presentation was the brainchild of the

Worshipful Master Bro. Paul Renton and the IPM W.Bro.

Richard Higson.

The Explanation of the Tracing Board was accompanied with a Power

Point Presentation with additional Music. At appropriate intervals

images from the Tracing Board were displayed allowing everyone

time to reflect on the inferred meaning of the symbolism. At the con-

clusion of the explanation spontaneous and lasting applause signi-

fied the enjoyment derived by all present at such a well presented

thought provoking address. Following the meeting the Lodge retired

to a festive board befitting the time of year. Read all about it here.
