Milan/Cologne, August 27, 2012. The Italian authority
in overall charge, Gestore Servizi Energetici (GSE),
has changed the requirements that operators of
photovoltaic plants must fulfill if they wish to receive
the government feed-in tariff in accordance with
Conto Energia V in the future. This is because the
most important regulations that solar power plant
operators must meet in order to apply for the feed-in
tariff relate to the quality of the modules and their

Wind Energy: TÜV Rheinland Receives New Accreditation
TÜV Rheinland has been accredited by the German
Accreditation Body (DAkkS) as a certification body for type
and component certification of wind turbines in
accordance with international standard IEC 61400-22.
This authorizes the company to conduct conformity
assessments of onshore and offshore turbines and their
components and to issue certificates accordingly. “With
this successful accreditation, DAkkS has affirmed our
expertise in the field of wind energy,” commented Bruno
Kuckartz, Head of the Energy Systems division at TÜV
Rheinland. “We can now offer manufacturers of turbines and components an alternative on the market.” This

The new MD of TÜV Rheinland Thailand, Mr. Stefan Heuer has assumed his position
From August 1st, Mr. Stefan Heuer has assumed management of TÜV Rheinland Thailand as the new Managing Director (MD) of TÜV Rheinland Thailand.
Background:
Mr.Heuer worked as General Manager (GM) for TUV Rheinland
Japan from 1999 to 2004 and has been a board member of the KGCCI since 2009 (The Korean-German
Chamber of Commerce and Industry, or KGCCI, was founded in 1981 and has grown to become the second-
largest bilateral chamber in Korea).He was also the representative director and chief executive of TUV
Rheinland Korea for the past 7 years, and during the 7 years, he was the German vice president of the KGCCI.

Description: A 2 litre capacity, cordless, silver metal, electric kettle with a black plastic handle and lid. The base connector (on which the kettle sits) has a plug with flat bladed pins. Accompanying the kettle is a three pin travel adaptor to enable the kettle to be fitted to a UK socket. A sticker is attached to the adaptor which states "FOR EXPORT ONLY TRAVEL ADAPTOR". The product is supplied in a cardboard box bearing the brand name "SKG", model number and a picture of a young lady.
Danger:
Fire and electric shock The travel adaptor supplied with the product poses a risk of electric shock and fire because: - the holes for the pins are not provided with shutters; - the poor design of the connection between the socket contacts and their associated pins results in an inadequate electrical contact that would overheat. One incident reported. The product does not comply with the relevant national standard.

The products are sold in polyethylene packaging with a label containing information in Bulgarian.
Danger: Injuries The product poses a risk of injuries because it is not sufficiently stable and may overturn while being used. In addition, warnings and marking required by the standard are missing. This product does not comply with the relevant European standard EN 1888.
