In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge

forms and conventions of real media products?

• My trailer was intended to be focused on the genre of horror. I set out to create a product that

would be recognisable to fans of horror, in order to do this, my research had to involved looking

at current and previous media texts of that same genre in order to establish what works well and

hopefully reflect this in my work. Generally on the topic of horror I am quite knowledgeable but I

chose to focus on three professional horror films to which I would use for my research. These

products were The Conjuring, Evil dead and The purge.
