Some of the advance technologies incorporated are

• Unique capsule design.

• Iris recognition system.

• Dragonfly doors open upwards.

• Swiveling front seats upto 180 degrees to face the rear seats.

• Magnetic hubless wheel electric motors (In-wheel motor

system

MAGNETIC HUBLESS WHEEL ELECTRIC MOTORS (IN-WHEEL MOTOR SYSTEM)

Page 5: In-wheel Hubless motor system

is an electric motor that is incorporated into the hub of each wheel and drives it directly.

WHAT IS IN-WHEEL ELECTRIC MOTOR ?

Page 6: In-wheel Hubless motor system

HOW HUB MOTOR DIFFER FROM AN ORDINARY MOTOR ?

Powered by one motor -All wheel driven.

Multiple motors, one at each wheel.

Need driveshaft, transmission to transmit power to the wheels.

Each wheel drives itself.

Ordinary Electric motor In-wheel motor

COMPONENTS

Page 8: In-wheel Hubless motor system

WORKINGwireless system transmits the electricity through a transmitting coil to a receiving coil in the wheel hub through induction.

ADVANTAGES

68-75% Battery to Wheel efficiency, While IC engines achieve

only around 18-23% Tank to Wheel efficiency, i.e. Powerloss is

less.

Current complex wiring distribution and its susceptibility to

shorting out is solved.

Controlled Individual acceleration / braking system prevents

mishaps such as Skids and maintain vehicle stability.

Max can run at 75 KMph speed.

Page 10: In-wheel Hubless motor system

whole lot simpler (mechanically less complex).

Demonstration vehicles are already out , pickup truck , few

buses and Bicycles.

High torque at startups, torque of up to 700Nm at each

wheel.

Rid of the engine compartment thus more space for

passengers & luggage.

Lighter Vehicle (Each wheel-38 Kg approx) thus less

energy required to drive.

CHALLENGES AHEAD.

To achieve greater speed than just 75 KMph.

Development in balancing the Unsprung mass issue ,

improvement in Shock absorption and vibration.

FUTURE SCOPE

Receiving electricity wirelessly from transmitting coils that

are embedded under road surfaces.

Battery less Electric cars.
