All of our ensembles have been working very hard on music for the upcoming “Spring Sing” and the “Spring Concert”, and we do hope you can come and enjoy music performed by members of Northridge. Hannah’s recital will be her final solo student performance before she graduates this Spring; please make plans to come support her in this significant achievement. Many of you have heard Filip Fenrych perform here over the years, and will know the level of musicianship the he and his ensemble brings to performance.

We at Northridge are truly blessed by talent, resources, and the desire to be leaders in our church, our city, and beyond. As a worshiping community, we take worship seriously, but we also take community seriously. That is why we take great care to present concerts that draw us closer together as a family and showcase the gifts that God has given to us all. We in the music department hope that our contribution to worship is enriching to you, and that these concerts will give you a sense of musical satisfaction and wonderment.

A LINK TO LAST WEEK’S SERMON: Susan and I hope that our sermons are able to foster an ongoing dialogue in our congregation: about God, about our church, about how we can more faithfully love God and neighbor. We also know that not everyone is able to make it to worship each and every Sunday. Below is a link to last Sunday’s sermon. We hope that easy access to the previous Sunday’s sermon will enhance our conversations with God and with each other. In Christ, Ben LINK: http://50.56.33.51/audio/sermon_040917.pdf

NOAH MEETS APRIL 13th THE DIAMOND IN DALLAS -- THE DALLAS ARBORETUM

Our NOAH group will meet April 13th, at 10:30 a.m., in the church parlor, to hear Margaret Duncan present a program about the Dallas Arboretum and its history. The beautiful gardens and lush lawns on the shores of White Rock Lake will be presented photographically as Margaret Duncan describes the history of the gardens and the DeGolyer home and details the current events coming to the Arboretum. Margaret has been a member of the Arboretum Speaker’s Bureau since 2006. She is a docent at the DeGolyer House and a part time teacher for their education department. She has volunteered over 6000 hours at the gardens. Stay for lunch after the program - we’re serving quiche!

SENIORSCRAPBOOKS

Northridge will honor our High School Se-niors on Sunday, May 6th. In preparation for this event, please consider creating a page for their Northridge Senior Memory Books - created to remind graduating seniors of their journey over the years with their Northridge family. Our Seniors this year are Ted Baker, Elizabeth Collins, Natalie Lasko, and Emma Rooney.

Ideas for pages include:· Type or write a special church memory· Attach photos · Create a collage

All scrapbook pages must be 8½” by 11”. The pages will be slipped into plastic page protec-tors so the paper size cannot be any larger. If you would like to create your pages at North-ridge we will have a station set up with plenty of supplies upstairs in #208, the art room.

Finally, please turn in all scrapbook pages to the church office no later than Sunday, April 23rd. Please let me know if you have any questions. Laura Coomber, 214-674-9907
