• Högsåra is an island in Hiittinens archipelago• Högsåra is an old pilotstation for ships • Nowadays there lives around 50 people all

year around• Nowadays peoples livelihoods are farming and

tourism• Every year 5th graders go there for 3-5 days

to enjoy and explore nature

Camping school

• Camping school is provided by school administration for every 5th grader in Turku

• Camping school lasts for 3-5 days when students can explore nature and enjoy different kind of activies in Högsåra and nearby islands

• From our school participates a combined group of mainstream and special education students

Viking Village in Rosala

• To explore Vikings way of life• Throw an axe• Try on Viking equipment and

fight• Bake bread
