THE NEW IMPROVED GENERATION MAG MACHINES: MORE THAN ZERO.MAG’s new generation Mozart ZERO is again revolutionary. Zero external energy for its oven heating during production means half the total energy costs. And new innovations enable higher speeds and productivity at even better quality.
Only MAG can cover all fields of enamelled wire production, worldwide at the highest quality level. Our horizontal machines deliver the best performance: from ultra fine wire for microelectronics to medium wire for
motors or compressors. Our vertical machines are the first choice for the pro- duction of everything ranging from heavy sizes for chokes to big rectangular wires for transformers.
MAG has once again revolutionised the ena-mel wire industry. With our latest technology you can now produce aluminium wire over the complete diameter range at the world´s
highest quality level. With the lowest energy costs by far as well as the lowest scrap and the lowest downtime. Resulting in the highest productivity.
The most efficient horizontal machines use 55% of the total electrical energy for heating the process air. MAG’s ZERO technology cuts heat loss by more than half, so that during production less than 50% of the initial power is needed. This allows the oven to run on zero electric energy for heating. This is achieved through various innovations:
Heat transfer enhancement between the wire/air interface through improved flow conduction in a specifically designed baking tube geometry.
Recovery of exhaust air via highly efficient heat transfer units.
Prevention of wire heat loss through thermal insulation of contact zones between the wire and free airspace.
Reduction of oven wall heat loss due to multilayer insulation, which decreases heat transmission across the oven walls.
Regulation of wire temperature based on fully automatic cooling – avoiding wire heat loss. This results in drastic energy cost savings that allow a new Mozart Zero to amortise itself within only a few years through energy cost savings alone.
Despite these technologies we have improved our machines further.
Diamond enamelling dies, developed with the Graz University of Technology and Balloffet, that allow speeds up to 227 VD at 0.20 mm diameter, PEI of 45% SC and a 100 times longer life cycle.
Higher speeds at big diameters. Up to 139 VD at 1.60 mm. And that at higher quality than others at lower speed.
Zero emissions. The new MAG catalyst ZERO NOx reduces NOx, total C and CO to zero. A world first in the magnet wire industry.
