Where is humanity???
Looking at above pictures we conclude that the situation is pitiable.
We are very cruel to our animals.
Where is the compassion for our animals???
Where is the mercy.
We take products from them but in turn we give pain to them…
What can we do???
So to overcome this problem BAPS Swaminarayan Vidyamandir took a project during the joy of giving week.
‘LIVE AND LET LIVE’
This was especially for cruelty against animals and to prevent that cruelty.
The students and teachers of the school planned to bring awareness among the people having cattle.
Journey
We started on 27th Sept, Monday. We fixed a meeting with a NGO named VSPCA-VadodaraSociety for the prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
This organization works near the ChapadVillage which is 3-4 kms from the school.
We met Dr.Purohit there who showed us the whole hospital and explained the working of it. He showed us animals like dogs, birds, cows, donkeys etc. in miserable conditions and all ill treated by the people.
Informatiom
We gathered information about caring and safety of the animals.
Name of vaccines that are given to animals and made a note of all important guidance.
In the school we prepared a general questionnaire for survey purpose.
Awareness
28th Sept-2nd Nov, we went to different areas like Gadapura, GEB Colony, Atladara and met the people having cattle. We asked them different questions and forms were filled by the students.
Students informed these people to keep the surroundings of the shed clean, not to allow animals to move on the roads and to be cautious about the plastic.
Students warned these people about the hazards of eating plastic bags from the garbage.
Response
The response from the people was good.
People accepted their fault and promised to take more care of their anomals.
Our mission was succesful and the students were overjoyed to be a part of such a project.
