Independence Day celebrations

Hobby clubs have participated in August 15 Independence Day celebrations which were held on

15th August, 2015 at New Seminar Hall (C.V. Raman Hall). Hobby Clubs In-charge Dr. K.

Manikyeswara Rao, Mr. U.K Prasad Dance Trainer, V.G. Krishna Murthy Dramatics Trainer.

Organizing the event. Narthana club students performed patriotic dances, Abhinaya club

students preformed patriotic skits, mono-actions, swara club students sung patriotic songs.

Hobby clubs Inaugural function was held in Jasmine hall on 26/08/2015. Hon’ble Dr.

A.V.S.Prasad Pro.Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Habibulla Khan Dean students affairs, Hobby clubs

Incharge Dr. K. manikeswara Rao, Dr. R. Subhakara Raju Prof. Incharge hobby clubs

participated in that event. V.G. Krishna Murthy Dramatics trainer, U. Kanaka Prasad dance

trainer organising the event. All clubs students participated in the inaugural function.

Teachers Day celebrations

On 5th September - Teachers Day celebrations were held for different branches on the day.

Hobby club members have participated in these celebrations very actively by performing dance,

drama, and singing.

Sangeeth’15

Swara club Conducted “Sangeeth’15 on 22/09/2015. Intra college singing competition was

organised and distributed prizes for the winners. Along with prize money also.

Inspire Event (Workshop)

Hobby clubs have participated in the cultural programs held by Inspire Event (Workshop) which

was held by our college for Intermediate students of NRI College, Guntur. This event was held at

Peacock Hall, Ground floor of C-Block on Sunday. Cultural programs by Hobby clubs. This

workshop was conducted for intermediate students for motivation and importance of

determination and hard work.

All Clubs Selections

Hobby clubs, Narthana club, Abhinaya club conducted Selections for all 1St year students of B.

Tech, M.Tech, M.B.A, B.B.A, B.B.M and B.H.S. The event was conducted on 13th October,

2015. The selection process was based on categories of their performance. The categories

divided were:

1. Classical, 2.Western, 3.Hip-Hop, 4. Dub step and 5.Fusion etc. Many students participated

actively and nearly 80 students were selected. Abhinaya club selection based on their Solo

November 2015: Abhinaya club conducted Naatak’15 on 07/11/2015. This is a State level event

skits, mono-action, en-act dialogue competitions were organized. Nearly 250

students watched the programme. Our hon’ble Chancellor Prof. Ram Murthy

started the programme. After the programme prizes were distributed to the

Movie Magic’ 15

Chalana chitra club conducted Movie Magic’ 15 short film competitions were held on

13/011/2015. Inaguarated by Dr. Habibulla Khan Dean-Students Affairs. Were conducted by

Chalana chitra club. Students exhibit their talent through short films. The short films related to

anti-ragging, women empowerment etc.. Prathinidhi movie director Prasanth Mandava as the

chief guest of the function. Dr. R. Subhakara Raju Incharge of the Hobby clubs, Mr. J. Sumanth

“VIVA” Programme

On 21st and 22nd of December 2015 “VIVA” festival conducted by Vasireddy Venkatadri

Institute on Technology – numburu. In this festival our hobby clubs Narthana, Abhinaya, Swara

clubs students participated Dance, Skit, singing competitions and secured 8 prizes. Nearly 30

students have participated in the competitions.

“Jublation” Programme

January 2016: Narasarao pet Engineering College – Narasaraopet conducted “Jublation”

festival on 07th to 09th of January 2016. In this festival our Narthana, Abhinaya

club students participated dance, skit competitions and secured prizes. Nearly

30 students have participated.

Our Narthana club students Ch. Havisha participated in I.I.T international festival Bhuvaneswar

on 11/01/2016. She got 1st prize in classical dance.

On 26th January 2016 – Republic Day celebrations were conducted. In these celebrations

Narthana club students performed patriotic dances. Abhinaya club students performed patriotic

Raaga’16 (Swara Club)

Raaga (Music competitions) event organized on 30th January 2016. Swara club conducted this

event to encourage the student in magic field. Solo singing, group singing, duet singing,

instrumental, band competitions were conducted. The students were very actively participated in

this programme. Dr. Habibulla Khan Dean students Affairs, Dr. R. Subhakara Raju Prof.

February 2016:

LITERATE Event (Vachas)

The senior students have conduct event to bring out the knowledge in literary event. Like

quiz competitions, essay writings, general knowledge and speech. In order to Indus the self

confidence and personality development. 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes are given to encourage students.

Samyak & Surabhi

On 25th, 26th and 27th of February 2016 Samyak & Surabhi festivals conducted. The

event went of smoothly with Josh and Joy. Nearly 25 events of various kinds are exhibited on the

wonderful Dias by the jubilate students.

In this festivals Hobby clubs, Narthana club, Abhinaya club, Swara club students

participated dances, dramas and singing have good applause from audience.

The events maintained decency and decorum with special emphasis on National

integration & Secularism of the country.

The programmes are so scheduled to complete within stipulated time.

March 2016:

Run” movie

“Run” movie team came to KLUon21st March 2016. Hero Sandeep Kishan and team

came for promotional show. Our students performing dance. Dr. Habibulla Khan Dean Students

Affairs, Dr. Subhakara Raju Prof. Incharge Hobby clubs, V.G.Krishna Murthy, U.Kanaka Prasad

and other participated in this promotional event. Students very happy to see run movie team.

Rice Challenge (Aastha Club)

Aastha Club students collecting rice to distributing poor people. Our KL University Staff and

students brought rice packs less than 1kg to their interest. So collected was distributed by 5

Orphase homes in Guntur and Vijayawada.
