THEME “Hometown Heroes”

DUE DATE Entry forms must be submitted by 5 p.m., Monday, August 31, 2020. All entries received after due date will be placed at the end of the parade lineup as long as space is available.

REGISTRATION Begins on Sept. 5, 2020 at 8:30 a.m. and runs until 9:45 a.m. Note new Setup and Entry Location: Registration entry point is on Westgate at the Fairgrounds gate on Horsebarn Road, closest to the Extension Office (104 N Westgate Ave). There will be a limited contact registration, with numbers being assigned the day of the parade. Lineup along Grandstand Road on the fair grounds. Floats and long vehicles must arrive by 9:00 a.m. 1 person with each entry is required to check in to receive a parade number and last minute information. For entries with multiple vehicles, each vehicle must check in at registration desk. Due to ongoing health concerns, participants are asked to not distribute candy or other items.

By submitting this form, you guarantee that all vehicles and drivers entered in the parade are properly insured, drivers are 25 years old or older, and have a valid driver’s license. Registrants further agree to abide by any public health or safety guidelines of the Jacksonville Rotary club or local authorities.

ROUTE Note the new parade route for 2020, which has been extended to encourage social distancing. The parade will originate on W State Street from Grand Ave (Morgan County Fairground gate) headed east to Central Park, going around the south side of the square. Then, back onto E State Street, ending at the Rectory of Our Savior Catholic Church. Entries may disperse by: 1) turning left onto Brown, 2) continuing East on E State, or 3) turn right onto Hardin Ave.
