Mark Making The idea of mark making and print making is interested me so I have made this mark making letter witch is in two different language Arabic and english witch have the same meaning (Ghost) as you can see the word is presenting the way is styled to make it unclear and have ghosty look, the reason I make this to expertness the idea of making my won pin and writing in different way, I used Ink and Bleach to give this ghosty affect.

Letterpress Printing on Different WaysTrying to show different way of print making, one of them is letter print this picture has different way of printing, some of them are clear and other look unclear, this are interesting to make different type and different forms.

This show the different type of texture and the way

come out in different shape, I used the same type

and ink but the different is the presser in the press

I wanted to expertness the idea of printing on different

material.

Embossing Letter

Using embossing letter was great expertness to design, I used type face to make this embossing witch give the paper good texture, I want to experiment the paper type with wooding type witch are the same material but they give us great reflecting on paper.

Arabic calligraphy on Lino print And Visiting the V&AThe writing of the Lino print is Arabic word is part of the Qur’an book. to gat more inspiration I have visited the V&A and I toke some picture to compere them with my work, there was an expiation that day witch called power of making it was good show i have inspiration of attending the show.

Screen Printing Arabic Calligraphythis type is part of Qur’an writing it means

(be closer with god) I reshape and design it

in different shape by repeating the same word

Screen PrintingExperiment the print with on different material, I used the same type on different paper, I design half tone screen image and the reason I choice to design like this is to create collage of screen print.

and reflect that on paper.

Designing Arabic type is about the shape more importing

then the meaning writing on different way to give the writing

new shape, I used for this work screen print , I toke part of the

Qur’an word and recreate the word in to different shape of

instruction, the writing means ( the name of Allah) its just part

different ways of writing this time I try to write on different ways

and use only ink and especially design pin to

writ on paper and then use acetate paper and

photocopy the word of Arabic Alphabet and

put the two word together to gat this affect.

I try to design and experiment the idea of colour on the Lino print, so I put the teach o paper on the top of the lion print to give it good reflection on the texture.

Alternative Process Photography and Print Making Workshops With TERRY KING.I had the chance to visited terry king workshop he show us the process of photography and print making workshop including platinum, Gum cyanotype, Rex and Bromoil. it was great opportunity to see personally his design, I enjoy and document the step of this work.

this work was inspired by terry king work i try to make the same work of mark making with only different materials , I have used estate to make this affect on the images and over lapping the same image over and over agin like the one Terry king with his photograph. I think I have achieved some successful work on this workshop. I used screen printing over the image just give it more greet reflect on the picture.

Evaluation of the Lab Week

Lab week was helpful in many different ways, meeting up with some of great artist in the industry, I had the chance to meet and attends the toke for each workshop, the first day I have Colin Machinery she is editor and magazine designer, show me the right way to design magazine and she toke to use about management time

on the flowing day we had Mary Ikoniadu she is co founder of MAK AND DO I loved this workshop because its simple and easy to design something useful and reused staff that you never imaging you could make design out of it on the flowing day we had The girls witch I had the chance to toke to them about photographic it was interesting to see how every picture has concept and meaning for etch image.

my favourites lab week workshop was so far is Pete Hellicar and Joel Gethin it was one of me favourites artist, they toke to use about there life and how there started the businesses witch was helpful and interesting way to work in different envierment. we been given three brief. etch brief was fun and enjoying they teaching us how to advertise, I thought is will be difficult but with way they show me how to advertise with using simple material, I will call this Lab week as successful inspiration and useful workshop witch will defiantly will help me with my studio work, its not just the lab week was the helpful but the toke we have every thursday is the most wonderful toke, I had last week toke with colin mchenry he show use the way to fined job and who we could stare communicate with company to start designing our won businesses cared and how we could build our confident in the future.

One day LAB one day lab workshop was useful to join and shier ideas with other, it was great to design my own work and toke about it, I was interesting in type spatially Arabic type, so I used thread to design 3d letter, its about using many different material.

my independent practise was more exciting this seamster , I have great and big chance to chic one subject to focus one witch I choice printing and mark making. I had good experience about joining workshop of interdiction of how to make printing, I had the chance to design on Lino print and I learn many ways of making design on that kind of material , I used type face especially Arabic type face with was intreating to make something did have great shape , I have make many research about artist who design on lion print and I gat more inspire form there work.I also try to do screen print and try to explore the idea of print making, about this seamster I personally think it was challenging for me to do only one think as I like to do many experiment one many era of trying different technique and material, I haven’t make that match of independent this semester but I will try to mange my time and focus on one thing and develop this work for the future.

Independent Practice (Proposal)

Independent Practice for me is the way to express my self to make the ideas I want to design and to show many different way of wok with different aliment of materials , most of the Independent Practice work is a group work for me . working as group with different people is good way to gat feed back, its inspiration for working with different people, its motivate me to work hared and to do batter also to produce more developing work and ideas, design the work I love its always making me to feel free to express me self and show me Ideas of what I want to do in the future. I want to make suer that my work have intact for other people, is it communicate the idea or dos have meaning for them to understand , it just not me to like my work is to make suer that its presented good, I always have to achieved my work what ever i do . I like to work with different techniques so that i could show different presses in my work .

the themes I am interesting is LatterPress and Screen Printing, this what I feel more closer to work with and feel more inspired of many artiest who make there work look great and inspiration for other generation of print making.

The inception of screen printing dates back thousands for years. In the 1700s, western culture caught onto screen printing. In England, screen printing was used for wall designs, like wall paper in upper-class homes. At first, English were using “ties,” but intricate designs necessitated a change. Silk replaced human hair, which allowed for more intricate and uniform prints. This is also where the name silk screen printing derived, although silk is rarely used anymore; man-made plastics or metal are the preferred materials for modern screen printers. In 1907, Samuel Simon of Manchester, England patented the first industrial screen printing process. His process paved the way for modern screen printers, which used woven silk instead of “ties” to hold the stencil in place. also learn to I also want to research and investigate about latter press it have a lot of intact for many years its been used for newspaper and book cover witch make my to learn how to make my work look more interesting and valid, just looking at letterpress history is Letterpress printing is relief printing of text and image using a press with a “type-high bed”printing press and movable in which a reversed, raised surface is inked and then pressed into a sheet of paper to obtain a positive right-reading image. It was the normal form of printing text from its invention by Johannes Gutenberg in the mid-15th century until the 19th century and remained in wide use for book and other uses until the second half of the 20th century.I always like to sheer me work to other and gat feed back to improve and to develop it in the future.
