The Leigh Sports Village & Stadium project involved significant levels of regeneration and economic re-development by Wigan Borough Council. It is also home to the Leigh Centurions Rugby League and Leigh Genesis Football Clubs, as well as Manchester United and Blackburn Under 21’s, whilst providing comprehensive leisure and education facilities for the community. Tate Security was an integral partner of the £83m design and construction project being responsible for the supply, install, testing & commissioning of a number of Stadia safety & security systems across the Village & Stadium.

Working from the embryonic planning stages of the project, Tate Security were able to use their vast experience to predict visitor flow around the 10,000 seat stadium complex and subsequently fine-tune all CCTV & security systems at an early stage to ensure maximum scene coverage. Indeed, the CCTV Surveillance system comprised of over 60 cameras including an onsite control room.

Our BriefTate Security was called upon to help with Project Arizona for The Walton

Centre NHS Foundation Trust in Liverpool. The £22m Project involved

building new facilities for patients with brain and spinal conditions,

including building a new 3 storey Neurology Rehab & Pain Management

Clinic. Tate Security was called in by Interserve in order to provide a

number of security systems such as Fire Alarms, CCTV, Access Control

Systems and Disability Solutions.

I have been associated with Tate Security Technology since I took up my present position as Fire Safety Advisor for Liverpool NHS Trust. When I joined the Trust, Tate was in the process of designing and installing a Gent Voice Activated Fire Alarm System for one of our new hospital buildings. I initially had misgivings regarding the voice alarm system, but since witnessing the weekly tests and three alarm activations my worries were completely unfounded. Tate’s engineers were also instrumental in advising us on specific areas where we could improve patient safety and any snagging faults that were identified during the project were immediately rectified. As a Fire Safety Advisor, with limited electrical engineering knowledge, I found that the advice & support offered by the team at Tate was absolutely invaluable and I would have no hesitation in recommending them
