Asia has more than half of the world's burden of cervical cancer, one third of them are seen in India. Cervical cancer is the second commonest cancer in Indian women with 1.2 lakh women affected and more than half dying as they present in an advanced stage.

The IFCPC is an International Organisation comprising of 43 member nations including India and working for this cause globally since 1972. It is our privilege to inform you that 17 IFCPC World Congress is being hosted by the Indian Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (ISCCP)

The World Congress, a triennial event held at different places in the world, is a much-awaited agship event of IFCPC. This is the rst time it is being hosted in Asia. from 1-5th July 2021 in a virtual mode It is expected to be attended by 1500 global delegates including researchers, cytologists, gynaecologists, oncologists, nurses and policymakers.

The Congress theme “Eliminating Cervical Cancer – Call for Action” aims at developing strategies for elimination of this dreaded disease worldwide. Many workshops have been planned to train doctors and health personnel in prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
