ACC (formerly Associated Cement Companies Ltd) is one of the oldest cement company which is in operations from 1936. It was formed by merging 10 cement companies prominent among them are Tatas, Khataus, Killick Nixon and F E Dinshaw group. ACC to expand its Jamul cement plant in Jamul taluk in Durg district of Chhattisgarh. The project involves expanding the capacity of cement from 1.58 mtpa to 4.33 mtpa and clinker capacity from 0.76 mtpa to 2.00 mtpa. The project also proposes to enhance the capacity of captive power plant from 25 MW to 50 MW.

The company has conducted ground breaking ceremony in 2013 and has awarded the contract to KHD Group. The plant will be built using COMFLEX technology for grinding plant along with clinker grinding and pyro processing. McNally Engineering has been awarded the civil construction works and the contract is worth Rs. 7330 million.

The project involves setting up of Cement Plant (Clinker 2.72 MTPA, Cement 4.05 MTPA) along with Captive Power Plant (65 MW) and Limestone Mine (3.9 MTPA,) The project is estimated to cost Rs.23,000 million. As of July 2010, the company was asked by the ministry of environment and forests to prepare detailed EIA / EMP as per the terms of reference and submit for clearance
