• Strong support from MoFPI – innovative growth ideas
• Food processing sector in India has received around US$ 6.55 billion worth FDI
during the period April 2000—September 2015 (DIPP)
• Keen interest on certifications
• Estimated that the food processing sector have the potential to attract US$ 33
billion of investment over the next 10 years and also generate employment of
nine million person-days (CII)
