Techtextil India Symposium 2012 Indian Technical Textile Industry – the way forward

The Government of India has given a major thrust on the development of the technical textile industry and has estimated the sector to reach $36 billion by 2016-17 with an annual growth rate of 20%. India is set to play a huge role in the development of various facilities in the country, thus offering one of the greatest growth potential in this sector. India and China will not only create a huge demand for technical textiles but also show growth in production at a higher rate. This holds immense potential for all investors and offers a compelling reason for buyers and sellers of technical textiles to keep their focus on India and develop a rational strategy to seize the emerging opportunities
