Quick-Step Guide for Learners
PeopleSoft ELM can be accessed by
navigating to: Myshare.in.gov
Click on “Employee Training”
If you have any questions, please contact Cybersecurity Awareness: [email protected]
Enter your User ID and Password into the appropriate
field.
A user ID is comprised of the first letter of the first name (use a capital letter) plus the last six digits of
the PeopleSoft ID number.
Learners may use their network password, also known as their computer login, as the PeopleSoft
password.
For assistance with your password, contact the IOT
Helpdesk at: 317-234-HELP or (800)-382-1095.
Click on the Nav-Bar in the top, right-hand corner of
the page to open the Navigator
1. Click on the Navigator icon and select the
following tabs to access your My Learning section of
ELM.
2. Select the Self Service Tab

3. Here, you will see a summary of your trainings. Locate the course Title in your My Learning section and you may click the Launch button.
4. The Table of Contents will appear along with a secondary “Launch” hyperlink. Please click “Launch” to start the training.
5. You will see the training launch in a
separate box and hit F-11 for full screen.
6. You will know you are in full screen mode if you see the START option in the lower right
hand corner of the screen. You may click the Start button to begin.
Hint: To arrange trainings in alphabetical or chronological order, click on the corresponding header
Please note: The training will appear in a new tab/window. Pop-Up blockers must be deactivated.
Please note: If launching the course using Internet Explorer please press F11 on your keyboard to
view the training in full-screen.

7. You will not be allowed
to move to the NEXT page
in the training until you
have interacted with the
entire page.
8. Once you have completed
the course you will be
prompted to print your
certificate and close out
your browser window.
Closing the training prior to completing the entire course will result in an in-progress status.

Frequently Asked Questions:
1. I cannot log in
If you receive the following error when attempting to log into ELM, please try to following steps. If you are still unable to log in after these steps, please contact the IOT Helpdesk at 317-234-HELP or
(800)-382-1095.
1. Clear browsing history 2. Close browser window 3. Open new browser window and attempt to log in again
2. The training won’t launch full-screen
If you are launching the course using Internet Explorer please hit
F11 on your keyboard to enlarge the training full-screen.
3. The training won’t launch All trainings in ELM open in a new window or tab. Pop-up
blockers must be turned off in order to launch the training. If pop-blockers are turned on,
this icon will appear in the address bar.
Turn off pop-up blockers and launch the training again to access and complete the course.
4. The training will not play
This is typically an Adobe Flash Media Player issue. Please try to following steps to resolve the
issue. If you are still unable to launch, please check with your local IOT administrator to
determine your current version of Adobe Flash Player. Troubleshooting steps:
1. Try a different browser
2. Attempt to launch on a different computer
5. I am still showing in-progress
In order to be marked complete, learners must let the entire course play through. If a learner
exits the training early, they will remain in “in-progress” status until they complete the slide
views. Learners may log into ELM to re-launch and complete the training. If you complete the
course and are still showing “in-progress”, please contact Cybersecurity Awareness.
6. I do not see the course in my enrollments
If you do not see the course listed in your “My Learning” section of ELM, please contact
Cybersecurity Awareness and request to be enrolled into the Training.
Please Note: Completed training may take 24-48 hours to reflect “complete” status. If your status does not reflect
“complete” after 24-48 hours, please contact SPD Learning & Development.

7. My ELM Notification went to the incorrect email address Preferred email will need to be
updated in two locations:
1. Click the Human Resources link on the right side. Then enter your User ID and Password.
2. Update all personal information including preferred email address to ensure you receive
notifications.
3. Preferred email will need to be updated in two locations: Personal Information & My
System Profile
Personal Information: Select Main Menu>Self Service>Personal
Information>Information Summary
Update preferred email address and make sure the box is checked next to
this address.
My System Profile: Select Main Menu>My System Profile
Page Titled: General Profile Information.
1. Scroll to the bottom of the page and look for your email box:
2. Under Primary E-mail account, you enter the email address you would
like all notifications to be sent to. You may use your state email if you
would like.
