1 Checklists
1.1 Maintenance checklist
1.1.1 Visual inspection
Check condition of the following scale components:
Housing Keypad Protective hood Weighing platform Peripherals
Check condition of the following cables:
Power cable Weighing platform connection cable Data transfer cable (if used)
Check for protected position of cables.
1.1.2 Function check
Press power switch.
For verified scales, check the ID code (setting on ID card and display in the terminal must match after pressing the "Test key";see installation instructions or operating instructions, Installation section).
Carry out calibration and display checks with the "Test key".
Check functions by making entries via the keypad (see operating instructions).
Check the following settings of the weighing platform (see service manual of the connected weighing platform):
Calibration Cornerload Linearity Hysteresis
Check the following plug-in connections for firm seating:
Power cable Weighing platform connection cable Data transfer cable (if used) Peripheral connection (if installed)

1.2 Service checklist
Carry out the following check procedure at the terminal and the weighing platform before troubleshooting and after servicing.
1.2.1 At the terminal
Check whether an operating error is present.
Check power and weighing platform connection cables.
Check calibration via the "Test key".
Check functions entries via keypad (see operating instructions).
Carry out display, keypad and printer tests; for this purpose:
Unplug terminal. Unplug weighing platform. Switch terminal on. PLUG IN appears in the display. Press SET TO ZERO key until SERVICE MODE appears in the display. Press Enter key until all display elements illuminate. Press all keys in sequence from left to right. If a GA46 printer is connected, a test printout is printed automatically after the last key is pressed. "END?" appears in the display. The test routine can be repeated by pressing the Tare key. Press the Enter key to return to weighing mode.
Check all plug-in connections and program EPROM for firm seating.
Check connected peripherals.
1.2.2 At the weighing platform
Check that transport locks of the weighing platform have been released properly and are in the correct position.
Check supports of the weighing platform.
Check that the load plate is free and has no contact with the surroundings.
Check maximum capacity and linearity of the weighing platform.
Check play of all stops and limits.
Check that the lever system is free on all sides.
Check knife edges, bearings and flexible bearings.

3 Error displays
3.1 Operating errors
Incorrect operations at the terminal and operating conditions of the weighing platform under which a weight determinationis not admissible or not possible are displayed by the terminal in clear text, see operating instructions.
3.2 Error messages
If an operational fault is identified internally by the terminal, the faulty component is shown in the display.

Open terminal, see section 5.1.
Measure voltages at ribbon cable on main board atbottom right.

5 Corrective maintenance
Caution
Before opening the instrument:
Disconnect power plug.
Unplug attached weighing platform and peripherals.
5.1 Opening the terminal
Unscrew 2 screws on underside of the cover at the front and lift off cover.
Caution
Do not scratch coating on the inside of the display window, if need be simply wipe carefully using a soft cloth.
Unplug keypad cable (J) at main board.
5.2 Checking the voltages
5.3 Removing the main board
Open terminal, see section 5.1.
Unplug weighing platform cable (H) on right of main board next to the display.
Unscrew heavy gauge screw fitting and push in power cable approx. 5 cm.
Unscrew 2 screws on main board and lift main board out of guide.
Unplug interface cable (A).
Unplug 6 connectors on underside and lift out board.

5.4 Changing the microfuses
Remove main board, see section 5.3.
Check microfuses and replace if necessary.
Fuse ratings
SI 1 slow blow 2.5 A - H 250 V
SI 2 slow-blow 1.25 A - L 250 V
SI 3 slow-blow 315 mA - L 250 V
SI 5 slow-blow 315 mA - L 250 V
Reinstall main board, see section 5.10.

CautionThe battery must not be changed as improper handling can lead to an explosion hazard.Disposal of the board with battery only by the manufacturer!
Corrective maintenance
5.5 Changing the program
Open terminal, see section 5.1.
Remove old EPROM program from socket using IC extractor.
Insert new EPROM program in the IC socket paying heed to the marking on the IC and the socket. Carefully bend IC contactsstraight.
Close terminal, see section 5.11.
5.6 Changing the main board
Remove main board, see section 5.3.
Remove 5 spacers; insulating plate, top and bottom are separate parts.
Break off new main board into top and bottom.
Mount insulating plate between top and bottom with the 5 spacers.
Pull off program from old main board socket using IC extractor and insert in the IC socket of the new main board paying heedto the marking on the IC and the socket. Carefully bend IC contacts straight.
Reinstall main board, see section 5.10.

5.7 Checking and changing the transformer, setting the power supply voltage
Checking the transformer
Change main board, see section 5.3.
Check voltages on secondary side.

If the tolerances are not complied with, change trans-former.
Changing the transformer, setting the power supplyvoltage
Remove transformer.
With new transformer, check connections on primary side:
for 230 V connections 3 and 7 (factory setting)
for 115 V connections 3 and 5
To switch to 115 V, carefully undo and lift off cover,unsolder and resolder connection accordingly.
Install transformer.
Reinstall main board, see section 5.10.
5.8 Changing the keypad
Open terminal, see section 5.1.
Pull off affixed foilsheet keypad from display window.
Remove residual adhesive and dirt from adhesion surface of the display window.
Pull protective film off new keypad.
Lead connection cable through the cutout in the display window.
Affix keypad and smooth down firmly.
Close terminal, see section 5.11.

5.9 Changing the analog board
Remove main board, see section 5.3.
Disconnect weighing platform cable and point cable.
Undo nut and screw and lift out analog board.
Disengage minispreader from old analog board and lockin place on new board.
Plug in analog board and install with screw and nut.
Plug in weighing platform cable (1) and point cable (2).
Reinstall main board, see section 5.10.
5.10 Installing the main board

Plug 6 connectors into bottom part of main board.
Plug weighing platform connector and interface connec-tor, if used, into top part of main board.
Route power cable outward and tighten heavy gaugescrew fitting.
Insert main board in the guide and fix with 2 screws.
Close terminal, see section 5.11.

6 Settings
6.1 Configuring terminal and weighing platform
6.1.1 ID1 Plus-A
All other information on the ID1 Plus-A terminal is contained in the operating instructions for the ID1 Plus-A.
6.1.2 ID1 Plus
For the ID1 Plus terminal, the service mode settings are described in the service manual for the service mode of the connectedweighing platform.

Settings
Putting into operation after changing the weighingplatform configuration
Remove identcard.
Affix appropriate measurement data plate (1).
Adjust identcode disk (2) so that it matches the displayedidentcode.
Assemble identcard.
With certified scales, seal screw (3).
6.2.3 Updating from old identcard (bracket) to new identcard (socket)
Therefore you need the calibration set 22 000 386.The procedure is described in the installation information for the identcard.

Service mode operation
Program blocks are selected the same way in service modeas in master mode.
Entering service mode
Press and hold the Enter key until MASTER appears in the display.
Press the NO key; SERVICE appears in the display.
Press the YES key to enter service mode; the CODE prompt appears.
Enter the following code: YES NO NO YES. The first service mode block, RETURN, appears.
6.2 Preparing the identcard (ID1 Plus only)
6.2.1 New identcard (socket)
In the factory, the identcard is provided with the measurement data plate of the standard configuration of the weighing platform,the identcode shown is "1".For mounting the identcard, see installation information for the identcard.
6.2.2 Old identcard (bracket)

7 Software compatibility
The ID1 Plus weighing terminal is compatible with all weighing platforms of the F, K, N and D series.
With the ID1 Plus-A terminal: see ID1 Plus-A operating instructions, section "Technical data".
