INDONESIA- FLAG

Indonesia’s flag has 2 color. On the upper part is red. White is on the bottom part. The red part represents bravery. The white part represents purity. Monaco has a similar flag. Same color but different size. Monaco’s flag is more like a square but Indonesia’s more of a rectangle. It was made by Soekarno’s wife Fatmawati.

INDONESIA- BHINNEKA TUNGGAL IKA

Bhinneka Tunggal Ika is the symbol of unity in Indonesia. IT shows that even though everyone is different we are still one as Indonesia. It represents Indonesia in many ways. The wings have 17 feathers which represents Indonesia’s independence day in August 17.It’s tail represents August as the 8th month of the year. The neck has 45 feather because it’s in year 1945. The Bhinneka Tunggal Ika is a Garuda which is not a real bird.

Indonesia, tanah airkoe,Tanah toempah darahkoe,Disanalah akoe berdiri,Mendjaga Pandoe Iboekoe.Indonesia kebangsaankoe,Kebangsaan tanah airkoe,Marilah kita berseroe:"Indonesia Bersatoe".Hidoeplah tanahkoe,Hidoeplah neg'rikoe,Bangsakoe, djiwakoe, semoea,Bangoenlah rajatnja,Bangoenlah badannja,Oentoek Indonesia Raja.

That is Indonesia’s anthem when it was in year 1928. It was made by Wage Rudolf Supratman in year 1924. He made the lyrics and music. Then it was sang when it is Indonesia’s independence. Now it’s modernize and it is sang at every independence day.

Indonesia has the most Muslim population in the whole world. It has more or less 204,852,000 which tops every country that has Muslims. The second is Pakistan with a population Muslims of 178,092,000.

PAPUA- RAJA AMPAT

Raja Ampat has a myth behind it. This beautiful place is a tourism spot for divers because of it’s natural beauty. And it also have a myth behind it. The story is simple. A person found 6 eggs. She brought it home and kept it in her room. At midnight the egg cracked and she was shocked because 4 of it is human. 4 of the human grew and became kings. They rule the island. Then they fight because they want their part to be bigger. So they divide the place and turn it to their kingdom. They finally solve the problem and unite their kingdom.

MALUKU- WEAVE ART

Maluku’s weave art is one of the interest in tourism. It is usually made in the south eastern part. The colors that are very often use is red, blue, brown and black. Sometimes the pattern would be stripes but sometimes they would not even have a pattern. This weave art also makes a relationship between Maluku and NTB.

NTB- TRADITIONAL HOUSE

In Nusa Tenggara Barat the traditional house is Dalam Loka or Istana Tua. It is the place where the old King name Sumbawa lived. Now it may not be as good as the old time. It was very fragile. They haven’t really renovate it. It was one of the greatest house in the old time. He left a few things in the house. According to tourist they must be taken care of but until now nobody is responsible for the house.

NTT- KOMODO ISLAND

The Komodo’s in there are the only ones left in the world. They are endangered species so they are no longer kept in a zoo or anything. They are roaming free around the Komodo island. They are the last dragons living. If tourist wants to visit they will go with the experts and see the komodo’s behind the bushes. The people living there would be probably fisherman.

NTT TRADITIONAL MUSIC INSTRUMENT

This instrument is called Sasando. It is originally made in Rote Island. NTT (Nusa Tenggara Timur). This instrument has been usedsince the 7th century. It is from the strings group. The central point of Sasando is the bamboo tube in the middle. IT has baja circling around it and strings over the baja. It helps make the different melody and chord. There is also a kind of leaf that is covering the Sasando. I have one at my house and the picture is the right one.
