The artists photographed are the artists that may feature in my magazine due to their outstanding success within the pop industry and their huge profiles. These artists are; One Direction, Union J, The Saturdays, Little Mix, Conor Maynard, Justin Bieber, Jessie J, Olly Murs, Rihanna and Katy Perry.Despite all of these artists having huge successful careers, I am focusing on these artists because they are all conventional representatives of the pop genre of music. The mise-en-scene elements of these artist in the images are quite typical of pop.For example, Little Mix are dressed in brightly coloured mainstream trends that you would expect to see young teenage girls wearing. They also wear very feminine and flattering make up and their facial expressions are pouts, rather than snarls - like you would expect to see in a rock magazine. Another example is the Saturdays. Their costume is themed around very girly pastel colours such as light pink and light blue. They are also wearing quite feminine make up and they are wearing heels that are very classy and again, feminine. This femininity in colour and costume reflects the predominantly female target audience of pop.
