02. FEATURE OF PRODUCTS
YB3 range of flame-proof three-phase induction motors are totally enclosed fan cooled high-efficiency three-phase induction motors. The indexes conform to class 2 efficiency of “Energy-Saving Evaluation of Motors” specified in GB 18613-2006, Energy and Efficiency Limits and Energy-Saving Evaluation of Medium- and Small-Sized Induction Motors. The efficiency level is equivalent to the high-efficiency motor Eff1 of Europe, and meets the requirements for the efficiency indexes of EPACT specified in American code. The motors conform to China national standard GB3836.1, Electrical Apparatus for Explosive Gas Atmospheres-Part 1: General Re-quirements, and GB3836.2, Electrical Apparatus for Explosive Gas Atmosphere-Part 2: Flame-Proof Enclosures “d”.The motors are made into flame-proof constructions of ExdI: electrical apparatus for coal mine; ExdII: explosive gas atmospheres other than coal mine, explosion-proof markings of which are ExdIIAT (1-4) ExdIIBT(1-4) ExdIICT (1-4) (temperature class are T1, T2, T3, T4, and it is suitable for electrical drive of machinery in explosive gas atmospheres, .Frame size range of this series motor is H80~H355, outputs and mounting dimensions are in accordance with GB/T4772.1/IEC 60072-1 and GB/T4772.2/ IEC 60072-2.
Main characteristics of the product:a) Main terminal box located at the top of the frame, it can rotate on right and left to meet the users’ requirement of different outgoing line.b) Motors which frame is H160 and above can be supplied with stator temperature detector, bearing temperature detector, heater, oil-filling and -draining device according to the users’ needs.c) The terminal box, frame, endshield and fan cover have beautiful appearance and novel style, and have the advantage of noise reducing and ventilating.d) The motor is of class F insulation, temperature rise is according to class B, and so to prolong the service life of motor.e) The duty type is S1, the method of cooling is IC411 and the degree of protection for enclosure is IP55.f) Suitable for various areas, eg: “W”, “TH”, “WTH”, “F1”, “F2”, “WF1”and“WF2”, where: W refers to outdoor light corrosion-proof type; TH refers to damp and tropical climate type; WTH refers to outdoor damp and tropical climate type, F1 refers to indoor middle corrosion-proof type; F2 refers to indoor strong corrosion-proof type; WF1 refers to outdoor middle corrosion-proof type; WF2 refers to outdoor strong corrosion-proof type.g) Superior starting features.h) High quality of motor guaranteed high operational reliability.

ECO-TOP POWER01. GENERAL
i) High effciency, energy saving, safety and environmental protection.Today, anyone who purchases new motor or hopes to make heavy repair for the original motor, careful calculation must be taken: if the chosen of energy-saving motor would worth more? Generally speaking, it is wise of user to select energy-saving motor, because it is the most effective measure to fall down the price of electric energy. When analysing the expenses of motor, typical running time is 3000h per year, total running time is 10 years. The amount expenses of purchase, installation, service and maintenance are 3% of the total expense. The operating expense is almost the electric energy expense, but it excesses 97% of the total expense. If the electric energy expenses can be saved, that you are economical only at the motor is running. Although the first cost of the motor is high, it can be returned in a year. However,we can not only see the commercial value of the calculation above mentioned. The motor consumes 60% industry electric energy, a research indicated that the saving potential of driven system is about 20000 MW.h per year, it is equivalent to the output of eight coal fired power plant; more than that, it still discharge oxycarbide of 1.1 million tons. This means that the environment protection is benefit from every energy-saving motor. The efficiency of YB3 series of motors is 1%~2% higher than YB2 series of motors in average ratio, for the specific condition, see fig2. the saved electric energy cost of efficiency is much higher than the increased cost.

Take 15kW-4P as an example, to compare with YB3 and YB2, the station of employed raw material and energy saving are as following table:Table 1: the employed raw material by YB2 and YB2:

ECO-TOP POWERFrom the above table, we find that YB3 160L-4 15Kw is 27% higher than YB2 160L-4 15kW on weight of copper, and 13.5% hi-gher on weight of silicon steel plate, 86% higher on weight of aluminum. According to current price ( enamel wire: 35000yuan/ton, aluminum:14500yuan/ton, B50AH470 silicon steel plate: 8000yuan/ton), effective material increases by 212yuan. Comparing to YB2 series of motors, the increased cost can be recovered from the saved electricity cost, and the cost for operating after the recovery pe-riod is net income. The saved electric energy per year see fig.3, the recovery period see fig.4.
Calculation of the recovery period can be as follows:
T —Recovery period(h)C —the increased cost for selecting this range of motors (yuan) —The price of electric energy, (1kw·H=0.65yuan)ηYB2—Efficiency (%)ηYB3—YB3 standard efficiency (%)P2—Motor output (kW)From the above formula, we can find that the recovery period is less than 744 hours, and the cost for running after the recovery period is net income.

c) Dimension of sealing ring (external diameter of entry cable for users) Cables should be selected correctly according to rated current and operation condition of the motors. The diameter of the cable led into the terminal box should be in accordance with that of the hole of seal ring. Seal ring for cabtyre cable and armor cabtyre cable have many concentric grooves and the inner diameter of the seal ring can be selected according to the diameter of the cable, It should be ensured that there is no clearance between the seal ring and the cable, the seal ring and the base of the terminal box after the cable gland is pressed. For seal ring, see fig.20, the main dimension see table 10.

Table 13 Comparison table of the max. radial force at 50Hz
14.2 The max. radial force ( to the drive system of belt pulley)The max. radial force: the max. permissible radial force F (in N) of radial load is based on the following conditions: the action line (the centre of belt pulley) of load capacity must be within the free axis length (the length is X) , the X length (mm) is the distance between shaft shoulder and F action line. Thus X length is the total length of shaft extension, the max. radial force at 50HZ, for the basic structure, see table 13.
