Nanoparticles are a sub-group and are further defined by their size (usually their diameter) which typically falls between 1 and 100 nanometres. Nanoparticles are of great scientific interest because they are the link between bulk materials and atomic or molecular structures and interestingly the properties of nanoparticles change according to their size – an effect which can be exploited in the areas of microbiology and biochemistry.

Induction Nanoparticle

In the field of Nanotechnology a particle is defined as a self contained object which has its own set of properties and behaviours.

Nanoparticles are a sub-group and are further defined by their size (usually their diameter) which typically falls between 1 and 100 nanometres.

Nanoparticles are of great scientific interest because they are the link between bulk materials and atomic or molecular structures and interestingly the properties of nanoparticles change according to their size – an effect which can be exploited

in the areas of microbiology and biochemistry.
