The origins of TLT-Turbo GmbH started wayback in the 19th century in the year of 1827when the company Dinglerwerke was created.

Since 1827, TLT-Turbo has undergone many exciting innovations, mergers and changes.

The origins of the centrifugal fan at TLT-TurboGmbH began with the Ventilator departmentof Deutsche Babcock AG in Oberhausen,which only manufactured fans for the company’sown power plant division. After the merger ofthe Ventilator department into TLT-Turbo, theiroperations covered all its worldwide industrialapplications.

In 1970, the merger of the fan group Buettner-Schilde-Haas bought extensive knowledge tothe group.The very first fabricatedcentrifugalfan had been built in the 19th century by BennoSchilde. Originally, fans were constructed ofcast iron, which was extremely cost-intensive.Schilde replaced this with his own newly developed design made of sheet steel.

In 1996, the Ventilator department of KKK inFrankenthal was also incorporated into TLT.

With this extensive expertise in centrifugal fans,TLT-Turbo has been able to continually satisfyindustry’s ever more stringent and demandingrequirements for fans over the years.

On the basis of our decades of developmentand experience we have created a blowerprogramme with guaranteed versatility in industrial use.

As long ago as 1979, TLT-Turbo GmbH granted one of its first licenses to China.

Further licenses were subsequently granted tothe USA, India and South Korea. TLT-Turbo GmbH thus also has long-standingand positive experience with local partners inall these countries.

We offer fans in a variety of different seriesand sizes. This enables us to cover the very diverse requirements of the various industries.

Our programme can be subdivided into twobroad areas:

StandardCustom Designed

Both the standard and custom designed fansoffer various diameters of impellers, andthe custom designed programme also offers varying wheel widths.

With the standard models, each nominal sizehas its own fixed housing dimensions, whereaswith the custom designed models, housing dimensions are always matched to the impeller.

On bearings with a separateoil supply. The impeller is bolted to the hollow shaft.

The hollow shaft is used bothfor weight reduction and to reduce the moment of inertia.This increases the margin between normal operatingspeed and critical speed. Two cones, one on eitherside, protect the bolts thatconnect the shaft to the impellerfrom the aggressive medium.

To minimize noise, we can create sophisticatedsoundproofing solutions.

For high availability deployments with dusty media, we have a selection of different modernwear-protection types in our range.

For corrosive media we have stainless steel andrubber linings as ready solutions.

We also supply gas tight fans for the promotionof eg toxic gases.

We also offer solutions for weight and inertial reduction, such as, inter alia scalloping or hollow shaft.

This flange bending machine uses cold formingto press the various radii on impeller cover plates and suction nozzles.

Weight is saved by cutt offsfrom hubdisc (scalloping).

It is always advantageous tokeep the weight low, becausethis achieves a greater marginbetween normal operatingspeed and critical speed.

TLT-Turbo GmbH has one ofthe largest balancing benches,which can balance impellersand rotors up to a diameter of4500 mm (177 in) and aweight of 20,000 kg(44,000 lbs).

Among our computationaltools, TLT-Turbo GmbH usesFEA for its strength calculationsand CFD for numerical flowsimulation. This helps to ensurethe high quality of our products.
