Background
On 01/10/2010 Siemens announced the 10-year product phase-out for the Simovert Masterdrives drive system.
The product´s discontinuation marks the end of support, repair support and spare parts supply as of 01/10/2020.
Drive systems
For larger systems a gradual replacement of your multi-motor or multi-axis systems is possible.It is possible to replace the individual components in various maintenance shutdowns.
Modernization / Retrofi t
To ensure sustained operation of your machines and systems in future, your existing MASTERDRIVES MC or VC should be replaced by the Sinamics successor system. After product phase-out, sourcing spare parts becomes increasingly diffi cult, which may lead to extended downtimes in case of malfunctions. Spare parts from the current Sinamics product range are already signifi cantly cheaper and can be delivered more quickly.
