'Automation' is an important
component in the success of modern
processing units. And the increasing hyper-
competitive environment due to changing market dynamics
continues to increase the value of advance automation
technologies and products. Considering its inevitability, CHEMTECH has
always included Industry Automation and Control, including Instrumentation, in
its exhibition. A number of Indian and international companies engaged in offering
automation products and technologies to process industry participate in the exhibitions. The
exhibition has become a rendezvous for automation companies and their users.
Besides the sprawling exhibition, CHEMTECH has also been organising dedicated conferences on
Industry Automation and Control concurrently with its exhibition. Hundreds of eminent experts
from the field of Automation have participated in the conferences as speakers and delegates
making Chemtech a true by-the-industry-for-the-industry platform.
After several successful editions, Chemtech is now geared up to organise the next edition of
Industry Automation and Control Exhibition and Conference during Chemtech World Expo 2017.
The process automation and instrumentation market is estimated to reach USD 81.69
Billion by 2020, at a CAGR of 4.68 per cent between 2015 and 2020.
The growth of the process automation & instrumentation market is driven by factors
such as the increasing demand for energy-efficient production process, rising concerns
related to functional safety, and the demand for a software system to determine failures
at the component level.
Factors such as the increasing importance of regulatory compliance, implementation of
automation solutions for manually uncontrollable processes, predictive maintenance
and factor visibility, increased labour cost, high level of efficiency with the help of
wireless networks are also supporting the growth of the process automation &
instrumentation market.

“The managements of refining industries are
looking at maximizing the EBITDAs and
improving refinery GRMs through integration
with the downstream petrochemical value
chains. While the middle management is
interested in throughputs - the teams at

temperature, pressure, catalyst flow and
other parameters. Today, the whole challenge
is interpret the real time data for improving
the top and bottom line margins."
“With an expanding horizon of Automation to
the second-tier equipment, achieving a
world-class performance remains a distant
dream. Automation through real time
monitoring and protection also comes handy
in the circumstances where the response

maintenance technician to act and prevent
failure is so little that catastrophic failure can
be prevented. Centralised online asset
monitoring also eliminates the need to send
personnel into the hazardous for data
acquisitions."
“Five ways in which we can enhance our
productivity and improve our bottom-line
include visibility to the result of actions,
t ransparency in to p ro f i tab i l i t y and
accountability for performance improvement,
agility to respond to rapid fluctuations,
environmental sustainability & utilisation of
water in the country."
